The aim of my project-TO CLEAR UP THE HISTORY OF THE ORIGIN OF THE NAMES OF THE DAYS OF THE WEEK AND THE MONTH IN English. The following tasks: -to know the history of the appearance of the seven-day week, - to find the information about the origin of the days of the week and the months, - to find the information about the use of names of the days of the week and the months in the poems, in the proverbs and in the idioms.

The Calendar The origin of the word ,,calendar” is Latin ,,calendarium’’.We can translate this word as ,,book debt’’.

Moon-Луна, Mercury-Меркурий, Venus-Венера, Sun-Солнце, Mars-Марс, Jupiter-Юпитер, Saturn-Сатурн.

Monday Tuesday Moon and Day It was called in honor of the one-armed god Tera.
