What is your favourite way to travel?

When we use my/his/my father’s/a/the before car/bus/plane we use in with cars and on with bicycles, motorbikes and public transport I usually go to school by car. I usually go to school in my father’s car.

Nowadays, people can choose among numerous types of transport, either private or public. Among the private means of transport belong a bike, a motorbike or a car. The public means of transport are train, bus, plane, tram, trolleybus, ship and underground. Each of them has some advantages and disadvantages.

For example travelling by train has the following advantages: It is quite cheap and people can get various price reductions. You cannot be stuck in a traffic jam. The number of connections is pretty high. There is enough space on the train, so you can sit on the seat or stay in the aisle.

You can find there smoker’s or non-smoker’s carriages. On the fast train, there is also a buffet-car. If you travel by train, you can relax, and you do not have to watch the traffic. On the other hand, there are several disadvantages of travelling by train. The trains are often delayed, they are old and sometimes pretty dirty.

The railway trucks do not reach all the places – there are still many places without train connection. They are crowded and do not take you from door to door.
