Christmas Day 25th December People give presents to each other. Many people decorate their homes and gardens with lights and Christmas trees.

St. Valentine’s Day 14th February People give valentine cards and send lovely bouquets, presents and boxes of chocolate to their valentines.

St. Patrick’s Day 17th March People often dress in green clothing, eat traditional irish food, play irish music and dance.

Easter Spring (April-May) People go to church and then have a big lunch with family.

Halloween 31st October Children dress up in costumes and go from door to door collecting candies, trick-or-treating, playing pranks and so on. People decorate their homes with pumpkins.

Thanksgiving 4th Thursday of November People like to bring together their relatives, giving thanks for all the good they had in this year. The traditional dinner in this day includes turkey and a big sweet pumpkin pie.
