Present Continuous Tense

Цели: Повторение личных местоимений спряжения глагола to be. Ознакомление с правилами образования ingовой формы глагола. Получение знаний о правилах употребления и образования настоящего продолженного времени Present Continuous Tense.

Употребление: При описании действия происходящего в момент речи. Образование: To be + Ving Слова-Помощники: now, at the moment

Спряжение глагола to be: I am we are you are you are he is they are she is it is

Образование Ving stand- stand ing clean – clean ing read – read ing jump – jump ing sleep - sleep ing

write – write ing leave – leav ing life – liv ing come – com ing take – tak ing make – mak ing

sit – stt ing shut – shutt ing begin – beginn ing get – gett ing run – runn ing swim – swimm ing

I am playing now. – Я сейчас играю. You are playing now. He is playing now. She is playing now. It is playing now. We are playing now. You are playing now. They are playing now.

Образование вопросительных предложений General question Is he reading now ? Alternative question Is he reading or writing now ? Special question What is he reading ? Question to the subject Who is reading now ? Tag question He is reading? isn’t he ?

С глаголами обозначающими состояние Present Continuous не употребляется: To feel – чувствовать To be – быть, находиться To live – жить To stay – оставаться To hear – слышать To see – видеть To know – знать To remember - помнить To think – думать To want – хотеть To like – любить, нравиться To love - любить

Learn these dialogues by heart: 1.Dialog -What are you doing ? -I’m writing -What are you writing? -I’m writing a letter. -What letter are you writing? -I’m writing a letter to my sister.

2.Dialog -What are you doing ? -I’m reading. -What are you reading? -I’m reading a story. -What story are you reading? -I’m reading a story about students’ life.

3.Dialog -What are you doing here ? -I’m taking a book from the shelf. -What book are you taking? -I’m taking an English book? -Are you taking it home? -No, I am not. I’ll read it here.

Supply the correct form for the verbs in brackets in Present Continuous. Hurry! The bus __________(approach). Excuse me, what language __________ you (speak)?
