CYBERSPORT ESports - sports competitions in computer video games. ESports history started with Doom 2, which had a multiplayer game mode through a local area network. Cybersport in the CIS One of the largest eSports organizations in Russia was the National Professional ESports League, which was established in 2004 and engaged in conduct for e-sports competitions among professional gamers. ESports organizations exist in several CIS countries, including Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. One of the biggest tournaments in the CIS countries is the ASUS Open, which takes place on a quarterly basis since 2003.
