Тема урока: « Музыка» (УМК В.П. Кузовлев, 9 класс )
Тип урока: обобщающий. Цель: формирование коммуникативной компетенции обучающихся.

Задачи:

1. формирование навыков говорения, совершенствование техники поискового чтения, навыков аудирования с пониманием основного содержания.

2.активизация лексики по теме «Музыка», развитие навыков сотрудничества через работу в паре и группах, обучение анализировать и обобщать материал, делать выводы.

3.развитие познавательной активности учащихся, расширение кругозора, расширение представления учащихся о музыке.

Ход урока

1. Good morning, boys and girls. Glad to see you. Let's start our lesson.

We are speaking about music today. People say that music is the soundtrack of our life. Other people think that music is what makes the difference between life and just existence. These statements mean that we can`t live without music. What is music ? Find your own close words for music. What music do you listen?

Can we imagine our life without music?

Does it make any difference whether you have a bad or a good ear? Personally I have a bad ear but I am impressed by many styles, many groups and singers. What about you? (discussing).

2. Now we are going to speak of different styles of music. We were divided into 5 groups according your interests and tastes. You like rock, rap, club music, classics and pop music.

But one and the same question appeared many times. What is pop music? And now I invite the first group for the presentation of pop music. Please, come here. Other students are listening to you and then they`ll take part in the discussion (presentation and discussing).

So we come to the conclusion that pop music is a good music we like and listen. Songs have vital and clever plots, melodies are different but breathtaking and eloquent.

And there are songs that have rather primitive words and tunes. They are called popsa. Tastes differ. Though we should learn to listen to good music. 3. By the way do you know such style of music as Rockabiri? I want you to read the text called «Rockabiri».

Can you predict what the text is about? (May be it is about different music styles. May be it is about rock. May be it is about people`s attitude to rock.)

Rockabiri

In the 1950s rock'n'roll became popular in Japan and many Japanese performers started playing what was called rockabiri or rockabilly. Japanese rockers became leaders of fashion. And groups of young men in leather jackets were seen on street corners. At first they sang American songs, but soon they wrote their own material, even using Japanese folk tales and children's stories.
Soon there were rockabiri concerts and records all over Japan, and later rock was played by groups like the Tempters, The Carnabeats, the Jaguars and the Tigers. It was rather popular.
But as in the West, older people hated the music because it threatened ( угрожала ) traditional values and encouraged violence. High-school students were forbidden to go to the concerts and the music was banned on the radio. Soon the fashion died away and by the end of the 60s rockabiri had disappeared.
Today you can still listen to Japanese rockabiri bands and rockers in the parks and streets of Japan's big cities, surrounded by fans listening and dancing to rock'n' roll - made in Japan.

4. Many teenagers dream of becoming a star. Is it difficult to be a star. Let us name some necessary features to be a star. We work in pairs and make a frame. Complete the sentence - To be a star you must ….

So it is very difficult to be a star. Not everybody can do it. But you can write a fan letter.

Here's a chance to write to your favourite singer . Complete the letter below. If you need any help, look at the suggestions below. Then send your letter and may be one day you'll get an answer (Writing).

5. So our lesson came to an end. What conclusions should we come to ? 1. We can not live without music. Music follows us everywhere. 2. We can listen to different styles according to our tastes. 3. We should develop good musical taste. 4. «Beatles» and «Mashina vremeni» should live forever.
