План-конспект открытого урока по английскому языку в 8 классе по теме «Транспорт»

Цели урока:
-
образовательная - совершенствование ЗУНов в области устной и письменной речи по теме
-
развивающая - развитие навыков говорения, чтения, письма, аудирования
-
воспитывающая - развитие интереса к изучению английского языка
Задачи урока:
-- создать условия для развития памяти, внимания, воображения;
-- создать условия для отработки навыков и умений в чтении письме, говорении, восприятии речи на слух;
-- создать условия для развития коммуникативных навыков через разнообразные виды речевой деятельности (монологическая, диалогическая речь)
-- совершенствовать грамматические навыки
-- воспитывать умение работать в группе и индивидуально
-- содействовать развитию интереса к изучению иностранного языка;
-- развивать навыки использования ИКТ и ЭОР в качестве средства обучения
-- совершенствовать умение строить высказывания самостоятельно
Речевой материал - лексические средства в рамках темы, языковые средства для выражения мнения, лексико-грамматические структуры Present Simple
Формы работы на уроке - фронтальная, групповая, индивидуальная
Оснащение - УМК «Spotlight-8», CD-диск, компьютер с выходом в Интернет, интерактивная доска, картинки по теме «Транспорт», дополнительный материал - в распечатанном видe

III. Аудирование с извлечением информации 7 мин.

V. Организация работы по развитию речи 7 мин.
VI. Чтение (matching) 5 мин.
VII. Организация работы по групповому обучению 6 мин.
VIII. Объяснение домашнего задания 3 мин.
IX. Подведение итогов урока 1 мин.
Ход урока:
1. Начало. Организационный момент - 30 сек.
Teacher: Good morning! Nice to see you! Girls and boys, take your seats, please!
2. Речевая подготовка (10 мин)
Teacher: Look at the board, please! (На интерактивной доске изображения транспортных средств). What can we see on the board?
Students give their answers. A car, a train, a plane, a bus, a bicycle, a boat, a ship, a submarine, a rocket.
Teacher: All together!
Teacher: How do we call all of them?
Students give their answers. Means of transport.
Teacher: So, today we are going to talk about means of transport!
What other means of transport can you remember? Think about other means of transport! OK, I'll help you a bit. Don't worry.
Students give their ideas. Suggested answers: plane, car, bicycle, bus, train, trailer, horse/donkey/camel, on foot, skateboard, scooter, motorbike, underground/subway, hovercraft, steamboat, ferry, canoe, raft, cruise ship, yacht, ship, helicopter, airplane, hot-air balloon, private jet, river boat)

(захожу в Интернет, показываю определение слов в электронном словаре Macmillan - coach - a long comfortable vehicle for carrying a large number of passengers, especially on long journeys). Pay attention to the pronunciation.
Teacher: Well, how can we travel? Can we travel by land?
Students give their answers. Suggested answers: we can travel by land, by sea, by air.
Teacher: Look at the board! Divide these means of transport into three columns.

Teacher: Well, what adjectives come to your mind, when you talk about means of transport?
Students give their ideas. Suggested answers: fast, slow, convenient (inconvenient), comfortable (uncomfortable), safe, dangerous, cheap, expensive, modern, romantic, environmental friendly
Teacher: Match the adjectives to the means of transport. For ex., travelling by plane is expensive.

Teacher: I see you have your reasons to like travelling by one or another means of transport. Now I want you to open your books at page 96 ex. 4. Listen to some other people (Sophie, Greg and Peter) and other opinions on means of transport! Now your task is to listen and extract the information. You will hear twice. How do they prefer to travel and why? Be careful and make notes!

Students give their ideas. Suggested answers: Sophie ― bike because you don't get stuck in traffic, it's free and it keeps you fit; Peter ― train because it is a fast way to travel and he likes looking out of the window at the beautiful countryside.

А. I prefer walking. It is really amazing. You can just stop and watch various sights, enjoy weather and communicate with people. You can take your friends with you for fun. With them your way becomes more interesting and full of positive emotions.
В. Ecology plays a great role in modern life. Cars pollute a lot. In such situation cycling is the best alternative. Cycling is absolutely ecological kind of transport. It is mobile, and it is easy to cycle. And it is great for health, especially for your heart or legs.
C. This kind of transport is one of the oldest. It is usual for old people or teenagers. For old people it is cheap and comfortable. For teenagers a bus helps to get at school. As for me, I like getting to school by bus. There are always good and quiet drivers on my route.
D. Travelling by air is the fastest and the most convenient way, but it is the most expensive too.

Teacher: Let's divide into 3 groups. So, imagine, we are going to Moscow. We have three possibilities to travel --- by car, by plane or by train. Each group will be given one possibility. (По жребию). Discuss advantages and disadvantages of each of transport. Use the following pattern
For ex., it's better to go by bus because it's rather cheap. But on the other hand, it's dangerous if you go in winter or early spring.

Teacher: Write down your home task! Write a letter to your English pen friend John. (Письмо на доске). He is going to visit you soon and ask how to get to you and what means of transport to choose.
You received a letter from your English pen friend John who writes:
… I'm going to visit you this summer. I'm going to fly to Moscow. What is the best way to get to Togliatti? How long will it take me to get there?
Write a letter to John.
Answer his questions.
Write 100-120 слов.
