Цели:

Обобщение изученного материала по теме « Америка»

Развитие аудитивных , грамматических и лексических навыков

Развитие интереса учащихся к изучению английского языка.

Ход урока:

1. Орг. Момент

Good morning, children! Let's remember American holidays and information about this country.

2. Associations "American holidays" Разделимся на 3 подгруппы. Каждая группа получает лист, в котором записывает ассоциации.

3. I'll give you some cards. There are 2 columns in the cards: holidays and dates. You should match the holiday and the date.

• You can see American flag everywhere on this day. People honour the man who discovered their country.

• This is one of the best holidays of the year for children .The most popular costumes are ghosts, witches. The houses are decorated with pumpkins with candles inside them. The children shout " Trick or Treat"?

• It is religious holiday and one of the happiest holidays of the year. It is the day that Santa Claus visits us and brings us presents. Many people enjoy it most of all and say this is the main holiday of the year.

There is one day a year when all Americans stay home with their families and eat a big dinner. This is Thanksgiving Day. The pilgrims celebrated the first Thanksgiving Day in the fall of 1621. The pilgrims sailed to America from Plymouth, England, in September, 1620. They were among the first European settlers in America. The name of the ship was the "Mayflower".
