Урок-обобщение изученного материала.
Цель урока: Обобщить лингвострановедческий материал по указанной теме. Углубить и расширить знания по теме. Активизировать выученную лексику по теме. Совершенствовать умения и навыки практического владения языком по данной теме по всем видам речевой деятельности: аудированию, говорению, чтению, письму.
Задачи:
Обучающая - обучение навыкам говорения и чтения по теме «Город», формирование лексических навыков (части города, достопримечательности) обучение аудированию (понимание услышанного);
Практическая - формирование речевой компетенции - совершенствование коммуникативных умений в четырех основных видах речевой деятельности (говорении, аудировании, чтении и письме);
Воспитательная - воспитывать уважение к культуре, истории, традициям страны изучаемого языка;
Развивающая - развитие социокультурной компетенции - увеличение объема знаний о социокультурной специфике страны изучаемого языка, а именно истории и достопримечательностях столицы Великобритании Лондона, развитие памяти и речевых навыков по теме, , расширение кругозора обучающихся.
Оснащение урока: проектный экран, презентация с достопримечательностями Лондона, видеофильм, иллюстрации с видами Лондона, раздаточный материал, карта Лондона.
Ход урока.
1. Организационный момент.
Вступительное слово учителя.
T: Good morning, boys and girls. I am glad to see you. How are you today? What day is it today?
Let's start our English lesson. I ask to look at the blackboard. What do you think about these pictures? Have you ever seen these pictures? Have you ever heard about these monuments and buildings? Ok.
(Teacher shows pupils film about interesting places in London)

Buckingham Palace is the London home of the Queen. When the flag is flying on the top she is at home. There are 600 rooms in Buckingham Palace . It has an indoor swimming pool and a cinema. Changing of the Guard happens every day at 11 a.m.
Trafalgar Square is the popular place for people to meet. In the middle of the square there is Nelson's Column, which is 51 m high To the left you can see the Tower Bridge is one of the oldest bridges in London. It is over a hundred years old.
The Tower of London is a very big castle. It is a very old place in London. It was a fortress, a royal palace, later a prison. It is a museum now. There are a lot of interesting collections in the Tower of London. The ravens are another famous sight. The legend says that without them the Tower will fall.

The London Eye was formally opened on 31 December 1999, although it was not opened to the public until 9 March 2000 because of technical problems . The London Eye is the biggest wheel in the world.. It has 32 sections (cabins) and each one holds up to 25 people. A ride takes 30 minutes, and as the Eye only travels at just under 1 km per hour, passengers get on and off while it is still moving.
