«London's sightseeing».

Оснащение урока: учебник, рабочая тетрадь, раздаточный материал, тест для индивидуальной работы, картинки с изображением достопримечательностей Лондона, презентация Power point, компьютер, проектор, экран.

Задачи:

1. Образовательная:

• знакомить с достопримечательностями Лондона.

2. Практическая:

• отрабатывать фонетические навыки в названиях достопримечательностей;

• тренировать использование тематической лексики в монологической и диалогической речи;

• тренировать грамматический материал (Past Simple) в устной речи по теме « Погода», « Достопримечательности Лондона»;

• тренировать навыки поискового чтения.

3. Развивающая:

• развивать навыки устной речи: навыки диалогического и монологического высказывания, навыки поискового чтения;

• развивать навыки самостоятельного труда;

• развивать внимание, память, логическое мышление, воображение.

4.Воспитательная:

• воспитывать толерантное отношение к чужой культуре;

• прививать интерес к культуре изучаемого языка;

• формировать навыки самостоятельного труда;

• формировать умение работать в парах.

ХОД УРОКА:

1. Организационный момент.

• приветствие:

Good morning. I'm glad to see you. Good morning our dear guests! Welcome to our lesson! Dear children, I hope you are fine today.

Today we'll have an unusual lesson. We'll have a trip to London. Please answer: "Have you been to London?" I suppose you haven't. So, the topic of our lesson is "London's sightseeing". Do you want to visit London?" And the aim of our lesson is to get some information about London.

В) - Какой неправильный глагол мы использовали при ответе? Давайте повторим и другие неправильные глаголы. (Повторение неправильных глаголов ). Ответить на вопросы по картинкам:

Совершенствование навыков чтения (раздаточный материал, текст «The places to visit» )

«The places to visit»

London is the capital of England. It is one of the largest cities in the world. It stands on the river Thames. About 9 million people live there. London is more 2 thousand years old. There are 3 parts in London: the City, the East End and the West End.

Trafalgar Square is the centre of London. On the column in the centre there is a statue of Admiral Nelson. To the left there is the National Gallery. It has a fine collection of paintings. Every day many tourists visit it.

Buckingham Palace is the home of the Queen. When the flag is flying on the roof she is at home.

The Houses of Parliament was a royal palace. Now it is the seat of the British Government. Big Ben is the most famous clock in the world. Really it is a bell. We can hear it every hour.

Near Tower Bridge we can see the Tower of London. It was a fortress, a royal palace and a prison. Now it is a museum. There are a lot of interesting collections in the Tower of London.

One of the greatest English churches, St. Paul's Cathedral, is not far from the Tower of London. The famous English architect Sir Christopher Wren built it in the 17th century. It took him 35 years. Westminster Abbey is a famous royal church.

4) При изучении темы «Britain in the world» была проведена последняя ролевая игра на этапе тренировки употребления изученной лексики. Ролевая игра «Travelling» предполагала мобилизацию имеющегося у учащихся запаса знаний и умений, развитие навыков диалогической речи. Когда ученики овладели страноведческим материалом, был составлен план ролевой игры. Роль экскурсовода была возложена на учителя-практиканта. Роли английских школьников выполняли - Диана, Сергей, Евгения, Антон, Денис; роли российских школьников - Владислав, Вадим, Ирина, Элина, Дилара.

Guide: Good afternoon, dear friends! Welcome to London. I'm happy to meet Russian school children in our capital. My name is Kate Middleton. I am your guide. During your stay in London you are going to have a lot of sightseeings around the city. But now as you have been already told we are going to the college where you will have lunch and a short rest. After that you will meet with British students. They are waiting for you. Are you ready?

P₁: We know that London is the city with grey sky, the streets are wet and it is always raining. But the weather is so nice today.

Guide: The weather is very changeable. Let's hope that it'll be fine during your stay.

P₂: We want to know as much about London as possible. We want to see all sights.

Guide: Now we are coming out into Parliament Square. On the other side of it you see a very long building - British Parliament. The building of the Houses of Parliament was built in the middle of the last century instead of the one destroyed by the Great Fire. Do you know anything about the greatest London Fire?

P₃: It was in1666. A lot of buildings were burned.

Guide: Right you are! The history tells us that 3000 houses and about 100 churches were destroyed through a small bundle of wood. People ran to the Thames trying to save their lives. Look, please. Now we are quite near the Houses of Parliament, etc.

После экскурсии по Лондону класс делится на две группы: английские и российские школьники.

Ведущий: Good-afternoon, dear guests! We are happy to see you at our college. I'm sure we have a lot of questions to ask each other. I hope you have had a good journey, haven't you?

Вопросы, которые задавали российские школьники:

• What subjects do you study at school?

• What are the most popular kinds of sports with the British students?

• What do you do in your free time besides sports?

• What British writers are mostly read by the young people now? Etc.

Вопросы, которые задавали английские школьники:

• What rights do Russian school students have?

• What are the opportunities for the school-leavers?

• What clubs do you have?

• What are the most popular foreign pop groups in Russia? Etc.

Каждая из сторон не просто задавала вопросы или отвечала на них. В ходе встречи обсуждались проблемы школы, ученики высказывали свою точку зрения на неё.

Игра проводилась в доброжелательной и творческой атмосфере. Активное участие в ней положительно повлияло на формирование познавательных процессов школьников. Ролевая игра способствовала развитию самостоятельности и инициативности. Ошибки учащихся были оглашены, оценки прокомментированы, итоги подведены, цели достигнуты.
