Цель урока: знакомство с новой лексикой и употребление ее в ранее изученных грамматических структурах.

Задачи урока:

1. Общеобразовательные:

- практиковать употребление лексических единиц по теме «ориентация по городу» и «транспорт»;

- совершенствовать грамматические и речевые навыки.

2. Развивающая:

- формировать навыки и умения интеллектуального труда.

3. Воспитательные:

- воспитывать умения работать в коллективе;

- повышать уровень мотивации к изучению английского языка.

Good afternoon children.

2. Постановка цели и задач урока:

Today we will have an unusual lesson. We will travel around London. We will visit different places. At each place you will have a task. If you do it correctly you will get a key letter. At the end of our lesson you will tell me the key word.

3. Фонетическая зарядка:

Before we will start our traveling let's drill our sounds. Read the short poem correctly and all together.

1. He likes to travel by plane.

She likes to travel by train

Look it's waiting for us.

Our next stop is the Houses of Parliament. If you want to continue our traveling around London, you should revise the vocabulary concerning transport. Go to the board one by one and fill the gaps in the words. If all your letters are correct you will get your third letter. Let's start.

Our third stop is Westminster abbey. At this stop you will learn new words. Firs you will listen, and then repeat the new words. After that you will look at the map in your books and find the addresses of different places. If all your letters are correct you will get your second letter. Let's start. Open your books on page 49, find exercise 1. Listen read and repeat. (listen to the cassette).

Ok, open your books on page 50. Look at the map and find out the addresses of the places in you cards. Match the words. Read your answers. Your answers were right, so you have got your third letter.

Sit down please. Our next stop is Trafalgar Square. If you are lost in London, you can ask the policeman the way. Let's imagine that you are lost. Ask the policeman the directions.

The first policeman will be Nikita and Anya will be lost. Come to the board, please. (the first dialogue). Thank you very much. The second policewoman will be Sonya, Igor will ask her the way. (the second dialogue). Thank you very much. And now the policewoman will be Irina, Gosha will ask her the directions. (the third dialogue). You dialogues were good, take your fourth letters.

9. Совершенствование навыков говорения в монологической речи.

Now we will go to our last stop. It is the London Eye.

Boys and girls I have a problem, I can't remember our way to the Trafalgar Square, and the way to The London Eye. Please help me to remember.

10. Домашнее задание:

Now you have got your letters. How many letters have you got? Can you guess what the key word is? It is TRAIN. This word will help you at the next lesson. Now open your record books and write your home task. Ex. A, B. p. 53 - 54. Close your books on p. 53. and discuss your home task. Vika read the task to ex. A. Sveta read the task to ex. B, on p. 54.
