Цель:

Обобщить знания учащихся по страноведению, полученные на уроках английского языка.

Образовательные задачи:

1. В ходе творческой, самостоятельной, индивидуальной и групповой работы с дидактическими материалами закрепить знания учащихся по изученной теме «Объдиненое Королевство Великобритании и Северной Ирландии» и расширить общий кругозор.

2. Развивать неподготовленную речь учащихся.

3. Развивать креативные способности учащихся.

Развивающие задачи:

1. Развивать умение работать в коллективе и принимать совместное решение;

2. Развивать положительные личностные качества (ответственность, доброжелательность, чувство взаимопомощи).

3. Развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление.

Воспитательные задачи:

1. Воспитывать уважение к культуре своей страны и стран изучаемого языка.

2. Воспитывать интерес к изучению предмета.

Ход урока.

1. Оргмомент. Приветствие ведущего.

Quiz-master: Good afternoon, children I'm very glad to see you here. Now we shall organize a competition called "English game-Do you know The UK? ". Aim:(цель урока)

Today all of you will have a good chance to improve your English knowledge about Great Britain and express your creative thinking during the game.

The members of our jury are …

Two teams will take part in a game of the most quick-witted and the cleverest.

Rules.Look at the blackboard!

*Each team will take turns in answering questions.

*Captains will have an opportunity to choose the number of the turn.

You'll choose any number and it's your turn to start.

*You can get 5 points for the right answer.

*Speak English.

*Don't interrupt your partner.

*Keep silence.

Quiz-master: It's time to introduce yourselves. Who is the captain of the 1^st team?

P1: I'm the captain of the team. The name of our team is "The Scots". Our motto is "Enjoy English with Scotland!"

Quiz-master: Who is the captain of the 2^nd team?

P2: I'm the captain of the team. The name of our team is "the English". Our motto is "Learn English with England!".

Now our captains introduce their parts of GB which they are fascinated by in the presentations. (choosing the turns)

II Основной этап.

Quiz-master: And now we come to the 1^st contest of the game called "The Letter game".

Kids, you'll get some letters from the English alphabet. You must put the letters in the right order, so as to get the English proper name. You have 1 minute at your disposal. Remember! Each team can get 5 points.
