Урок разработан в рамках УМК «Spotlight 6» на грамматическом и лексическом материале урока «Let's celebrate», раздел «Feasts». Данная разработка универсальна, она может быть использована в рамках любого другого УМК, перед рождественскими праздниками.

Цели:

обучающая цель:

• закрепить знания о грамматическом времени Present Continuous; активизировать лексический материал по теме;

• формировать умение применять их в речи;

• совершенствовать умение работать с текстом.

коммуникативная цель:

• развитие коммуникативной компетенции;

развивающая цель:

• развивать монологическую речь учащихся;

• развивать навыки оперирования языковыми единицами в коммуникативных целях;

• развивать умение работать в группе;

• развитие умения оценивать себя и своих одноклассников.

воспитывающая цель:

• прививать интерес, уважение к культуре изучаемого языка;

Задачи:

1. активизировать лексический и грамматический материал по изучаемой теме;

2. формировать умение логически строить монологическое высказывание;

3. развивать умение слушать и реагировать на вопросы собеседника;

Тип урока: комбинированный.

Форма проведения: урок-практикум с элементами игровых технологий.

План урока:

1. Организационный момент

• Hello. I'm so glad and happy to see you today. Turn around and say "Good morning!" to our guests. Take your sits, please.

• What is the date today?

• What is the day?

• What about the weather?

• We are going to work in groups and in the end of the lesson we'll decide which one is the best. For every right answer you'll get one ball. Then it'll be your mark. Be hardworking and very attentive.

Today we are going to speak about Christmas and New Year in Great Britain and Russia. First we'll watch a video about Christmas in Britain and you need to answer some questions. Then we'll read, make grammar tasks, Christmas quiz, speak about New Year.

"New Year celebrations"

There are many holidays in our country. But the holidays we like most of all are New Year's Day and Christmas Day. On the 31st of December Russian people celebrate New Year.

We prepare for these holidays beforehand: we send greeting cards, buy presents, make fancy dresses and decorate their houses. There are a lot of decorations in the street. We buy the New Year trees and put them in the living rooms. Children like to decorate them with toys, little coloured lights, bells, snowflakes, bows, tinsel, tangerines, and sweets. There are a lot of parties at schools. Our parents make special dishes. We make the decorations, do the shopping, make a cake, and help parents. We like to see the New Year in at home with our relatives. At 12 o'clock we sit at the table and say "Best wishes for the New Year". The New Year is always connected with our new plans and dreams. It is a pleasant moment to get presents on the New Year. At night we watch TV, dance, and make jokes. We give each other presents and send New Year cards. Children find the presents from Father Frost under the New Year tree on the 1^st of January. I enjoy this holiday very much

5. Физминутка.

Are you tired? Let's have a rest. We are going to play the game "Pin the tail on the donkey".

6. Украшение Новогодней елки.

I think everybody likes to decorate the New Year tree. Now we are going to decorate it. I have decorations on the blackboard, you choose one, do the task, and only then choose the same real one.

7. Составление стихотворений.
