AIMS: to revise the vocabulary of animals and plants; to develop pupils" abilities in speech

To enrich pupils" vocabulary stock with words connected with protecting animals and nature, to practice the usage of verbs, to develop of speaking, listening, reading and writing.to interest in learning English, To introduce with the culture of Great Britain and British way of life, to make yhe pupils feel themselves rich and successful.

Visual aids: pictures, cards, books etc.

Procedure of the lesson.

Organization moment: Good morning boys and girls!

How are you? Are you fine? Dear boys and girls every year the problem of nature and animals is becoming more important and complicated.

Warm-up: Vocabulary review. Translate into Russian: monkey, lion, tiger, elephant, wolf, cheetah, river, soil, climate, fabulous, destroy, save, change, earth, disappear, island, camel, insect, breathe, exciting, next to, trunk, ancient, incredible, clever, crazy about, crowd, addicted, attitude, cage, drop, duck, check, koala, lazy, arrow, cartoon, cave, dessert, kid,wood.

Stand up , hands up, hands down, sit down 1-10 Doing exercises

Phonetic exercise:

There are two types of elephants; Indian and African. Elephants swim very well. They live for about 65 years. They die because they lose their teeth and can not eat. Wild elephants usually eat for about 16 hours. They eat plants and fruit. Adult elephants are about 4,000 kilograms. That is the same as school bus

In Kazakhstan there are many different animals, bird and plants. But some species are in danger. The country has seven important nature reserves. These reserves are working hard to save the country"s endangered species.

If you travel to the east of Almaty, you will find the beautiful Almaty Nature Reserve. Endangered species at Almaty include the golden eagle, the Turkestani lynx, the snow leopard, the ibex and the red bear.

A large part of the reserve is closed to the public. This helps to protect the wildlife. It is possible to get special permission to visit. And what we know about tigers? These fabulous creatures are in danger. They lived all over Asia Today there are only 5,000.In some countries they mean «money». People use the tiger"s body to make medicine. So the local people hunt the tiger and sell its body. And the forests where the tigers live are disappearing, so they are losing their natural homes too.
