Lesson brief
I Warm-up
Good-morning, boys and girls! Glad to see you. How are you? Sit down, please. The theme of our lesson is "Hobby". The aim of our lesson is to widen your knowledge about hobbies and interests. I would like you to be more active and more attentive. You've had weekends. What do you usually like doing in your weekends? What is your favourite pastime?
Thus we'll speak about a very interesting topic. Look at the board, please.
You can see there the saying 'Hobbies differ like tastes'. Do you agree with this saying? Why do you think so? And how can you explain the meaning of the word "hobby"?
Hobby is something a person likes to do. Different people have different hobbies. Some people like listening to music, others prefer reading books. Many people say that collecting or traveling are their hobbies. It's nice to have a hobby. Hobby teaches people to plan the life and time. Some hobbies teach us to make useful things, develop their mind and body.
-What about you?
-Do you like listening to music?
-Do you like reading books?
-Do you like knitting? Why?
-What is your hobby?
-What does it give you?
