английского языка в 9 классе

по теме: «Выбор профессии»

Тема: «Choosing a career» (Выбор профессии)

Цель урока: формирование коммуникативных умений по проблеме выбора профессии.

Задачи:

Учебные: - совершенствовать произносительные навыки;

- активизировать в речи лексические единицы по теме урока;

- практиковать умение вести диалог;

- способствовать формированию навыков монологического

высказывания по теме урока.

Развивающие: - развивать мышление, память, языковую догадку;

самостоятельность мышления;

Воспитательные: - воспитывать уважительное отношение к различным

видам профессиональной деятельности; уважение к

труду; формировать культуру общения.

Методы: индивидуальная и парная работа, аудирование, чтение информации.

Оборудование: мультимедийный проектор, экран, ноутбук, CD диск, презентация по теме урока.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент.

- Good morning, boys and girls. I'm glad to see you. Take your seats and get ready for the lesson. So, let's start.

2. Речевая зарядка.

Чтение стихотворения I want to be (слайд № 2)

I Want to Ве

Some people often say to mе:

"Have уоu decided what уоu want to bе?"

I usually answer, "I don't know,"

But it isn't really so.

I want to win аn Olympic race,

I want to see the Earth from space,

I want to travel to Katmandu

I want to bе rich and famous, too.

I want to bе оn Hollywood's screen,

I want to invent а new machine,

I want to bе very clever and wise,

I want to win the Nobel prize.

- OK. What is this poem about?

P.: - It's about one person who doesn't know what profession to choose.

T.: - Well, that's right. And now tell me the theme of our lesson - …

P.: - "Choosing a career" (Исходя из стихотворение дети выводят тему урока)

T.: - Good, look at the screen now. (Слайд № 3)

- Here is a proverb. There is a name of a profession here. (Пословица с названием профессии, которую учащиеся пытаются узнать)

Every man is a blacksmith of his fortune. - Всякий человек своему счастью кузнец.

- Of course, this profession is the profession of the past. Name different professions of our time. Назовите современные профессии)

2. Актуализация имеющихся знаний заполнение кластера "Professions".

Write down the names of professions in your word-web. (Затем ученики по цепочке читают название профессий, которые они вспомнили).

Psychologist, accountant, lawyer, ecologist, doctor, computer programmer

Teacher: Right you are. Think what suffixes help to make new words denoting professions? С помощью каких суффиксов образуются существительные, обозначающие профессии?(Слайд № 5)

Среди названных учащимися ранее слов могут быть, например, существительные, образованные при помощи суффиксов -er, -or, -ist. Учащиеся называют эти суффиксы. Чтобы было наглядно и лучше запомнилось, можно сделать карточки:

TEACH + ER = TEACHER

Teacher: So, the task is the following: I'll give you some words and you should make up other words with the same root with the help of suffixes -er, -or, -ist. Итак, я раздаю вам карточки со словами, от которых вы должны образовать существительные, обозначающие профессии, используя суффиксы -er, -or, -ist. Как только одна из команд закончит выполнение задания, начнем проверку. Is the task clear for you? Let's start then.

Учитель раздает обеим командам карточки, на которых написаны слова:

В итоге у учащихся должны получиться следующие слова: teacher, worker, economist, footballer/football player, driver, builder, saver, director, actor/actress, banker, reporter, designer, writer, lawyer, scientist.

Teacher: Good. Please look at the word "actor". How can we name a woman-actor?

3. Актуализация лексических единиц.

Speaker 3 - an accountant: team working skills, communication skills, patience, confidence, self-motivation to achieve success

Teacher: When choosing a future career, we should consider different factors. What are they? (слайд № 8)

4. Практика монологической речи. Ученики делятся на 3 группы по 5 человек, и каждая группа выбирает карточку с заданием.

T.: The task is you should advise your classmate to make the right choice. You should consider the personal qualities of your classmates and the traits of character. Discuss the task in groups.

Dima wants to be a computer programmer.

What personal qualities should he have?

Group 1: Dima, we advise you to be a computer programmer, because you know computers very well, you can work in such programmes as Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Office Power Point, you are very educated, creative, curious, patient. We ask you to follow our advice.

Card № 2.

Sveta wants to be a dress designer.

What personal qualities should she have?

Group 2: Sveta, we think, that the best profession for you is the profession of a dress designer. You have got taste, you can draw, you are creative, imaginative, energetic, ambitious, confident and responsible. If you want to be happy choose this profession.

Card № 3.

Ira wants to be a journalist.

What personal qualities should she have?

Group 3: Ira wants to be a journalist and we agree with her choice, because she is sociable, educated, courageous, her English and Russian are not very bad and her compositions were always the best ones.

(Ученики выполняют задания в группах 3-4 минуты. Затем отвечают вслух)

Teacher: Well done.

And now answer my question. Have you decided what you want to be? Tell us about your plans. Talk about the job you are interested in. Don't forget to say:

-what skills and qualities you have;
