The theme of the lesson: Colours. Letter F f

The aim: to teach colours and new letter F f, Colours are: red, blue, orange, green, yellow. Teaching the question how many? I am going to use several fun activities in my class, I think kids will have fun and enjoy the lesson. Using fun activities help kids to be interested in learning English.

Materials and visual aids: colourful pencils, flash cards, colourful worksheets.

1. Memory game to learn colours. There are four cards of colours: red, yellow, green, blue on the board. Firstly teacher says the colours aloud in front of the kids and then ask them to repeat after him/her. After that kids clap three times every each colour for several time. And then teacher says them to cover their eyes with their fingers. And then teacher takes away one colour and asks to open their eyes and asks which colour is missing. Kids should find out the missing colour..(red or green) and so on…

2. Secret box game: there are pencils (red, green, yellow, blue)in the box, teacher shakes the box and ask kids what colour is the pencil? Kids should guess the colour. When teacher takes out the pencil, kids will be sure what colour is the pencil.

3. Colouring time. Teach the kids about the rainbow and explain that there are seven colours in it. And make kids to colour the rainbow with their favourite colours.

4. Teach the letter F f.

Ask kids to repeat after you for several times. And then hand out the practice writing letter F f worksheets, and make them to colour the Letter F f

5. In conclusion Ask kids to repeat the all materials, and learn a poem about colours.
