0- работу невозможно прочитать

1- работа содержит значительные грамматические ошибки

2- работа содержит грамм. ошибки, не препятствующие восприятию текста

3- работа содержит незначительные ошибки

критерии к содержанию таблицы (0-2)

0- основные мысли не отражены

1- осн. мысли поняты верно, но отражены не полно

2- осн. мысли поняты верно и отражены полно

критерии к оформлению таблицы (0-1)

0- оформление отсутствует

1- проявлены элементы творчества

8-9 баллов - отлично

7-6 - хорошо

The motto of this international sporting competition is "cities, alties, spoties" or " swifter, higher, stronger"

And today we are learning ten things you should know about the Olympic Games. Occurring every two years the Olympic Games aren't international sporting competition with summer and winter games alternating. The games are now held in different countries each time they are played.

Number 1.

Traditionally few countries compete in winter games than during the summer. Today summer games show case over 200 countries, while the winter games host only roughly 80.

Number 2.

The games were originally the chance for amateur athletes to shine and professionals were banned from competing. At the end of the 1970s the idea began to fade and today the professional athletes compete in most sports.

Number 3.

1960 was the year when the first Paralympics games were held in the weeks following the Olympic Games. This idea was originally conceived in 1948 as a competition for injured World War 2 veterans, but eventually grew to include other disabilities.

Number 4.

The top 3 winners of every competition are awarded a medal. This medal format was introduced at the 1904 Olympic games and has been in place ever since. These awards are presented at the ceremony directly following the conclusion of each event. The winners stand on the three tiered podium, the flags are displaying and the gold medalist's national anthem is played.

Number 5.

The Olympic Games are as much a time for traditions and symbolism as they are for sport. The games are represented by the Olympic rings, a series of five multicolored interlocking rings on the white background. Each ring represents one of the five continents and was originally designed in 1912.

Number 6.

Another important icon of the Olympics is the flame, carried mainly by the series of runners on a ceremonial tracked from Olympia Greece to the host city. The Olympic torch relay has been running since 1936. The torch which is the host city in time for the opening ceremonies and is used to light the cauldron which burns the entire length of the games.

Number 7.

The game opening and closing ceremonies are grand event complete with establish rituals. To open the games the host country's flag is raised in a rendition of his anthem is played.
