1. Unimaginable Facts - Hunger

A recent estimate states that almost one billion out of total of 7 billion people alive on earth is suffering from malnutrition.

Each year enough food for 10 billion people is harvested and processed.

Supermarkets and retail shops around the world dispose of thousands of tonnes of edible foodstuff everyday, as government legislation demands that only fresh products are on their shelves.

2. A Man Who Can Speak 19 Langauges
A 33-year-old polyglot from Central Europe, Vladimir Skultety, claims he can speak 19 languages.

In his introduction, which is in English, he admits he does not speak every language correctly, but he is able to have a decent basic conversation.

3. The Selfie Stick Is Not a New Invention


Is the selfie stick a new gadget?

Perhaps people think it is and believe it was recently created in our highly sophisticated era.

If you are one of them, then you are wrong. Taking selfies using digital cameras is not the latest craze.

A long time ago people wished to photograph themselves.

An old picture discovered recently in a family album proves a camera selfie stick was used more than 90 years ago.

4. Musician Kept a Cool Head

A young musician, playing classical music in a concert, had his performance rudely interrupted by a mobile telephone ringing in the pocket of a member of the audience.

Though it was a faux pas, he smartly picked up and added the tones into his performance.

6. Losing a Friend

The loss of a friend can be one of the most difficult experiences in life. Often it is as painful as breaking up with a spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend.

Losing a friend can make a person feel very alone.

7. Are We Losing Our Memories?

With so much information available to us on the Internet, we seem to be using our memories less and less.

Will this process continue? Will our brains change as we rely more and more on technology?

8. Do Something Nice for Someone Else Today

A random act of kindness does not cost anything, but it can go a long way in improving the day of another person.

There are many things you can do to make the world a better place today.

For example, give an elderly person your seat on the bus, send an email to someone you have not seen in a long time, help someone with a chore, or just smile.

Doing good deeds will make you feel better too.

9. London's Heathrow Airport

Heathrow Airport in London is the busiest airport in the United Kingdom and one of the busiest in the world.

Many international passengers go through Heathrow on their way from one destination to another.

Flights depart from Heathrow to destinations around the world every day.

Because Heathrow is so large it can take a long time to go from one end of the airport to another if a passenger needs to reach a connecting flight.

10. Tutankhamun Died While Hunting

The mystery of how Egypt's King Tutankhamun died has been solved.

The boy king, whose tomb was discovered in 1922, fell off a chariot while he was hunting game.

He broke his leg. This injury caused blood poisoning.

Before this discovery, it was thought that Tutankhamun might have been murdered.
