Тип: Повторение, закрепление изученного материала.

Цель: Формирование у учащихся способности говорить об исторических событиях используя Past Simple.

1. Warm up: Good morning, dear boys and boys. I'm glad to see you. Let's start our lesson, sit down, please. Today is a beautiful and interesting day. We are going to travel. You are going to visit different times and places in a time machine.

• Look at the blackboard, there are different words and pictures.

• Will you match the names of the animals and the pictures? (соотносят названия животных и картинки на доске)

Mammoths, Sabre-toothed tigers, Woolly rhinoceros

• So what time are we going to visit? Past, present or future?

Also we should prepare information about the ancient animals for the history book for the Time Travel centre.

What should we revise in order to complete the history book? (цели урока)

• revise verbs (regular, irregular).

• Make sentences (positive, negative, interrogative).

• Revise verb to be in the past simple.

Let's make up teams. Mammoths - It is your place, (Saber-toothed tigers, Rhinoceros.)

2. If we want to return in our time we should do the tasks for the time machine. Take please these envelopes with tasks.

Task 1: Make up the scheme from these pieces of paper. (собирают разрезную схему - информацию о прошедшем простом времени)

Past Simple = V2-> + ed (для правильных глаголов), 2 столбик таблицы - для неправильных глаголов - задание общее для всех групп.

Task 2: Transform these verbs in the Past Simple Tense. (преобразуют глаголы в прошедшую форму) -

1 группа: live, eat, hunt, be, do, travel, have, visit, build, bring, make, buy.

2 группа: eat, be, catch, travel, fish, play, do, can, swim, make, live, hunt.

3 группа: live, be, hunt, cut, fish, travel, make, have, visit, do, catch, open.

Task 3: Divide words in two groups, make up the rule. (классифицируют глаголы на 2 группы - правильные и неправильные, выводят правило - на основе чего они делают классификацию, что им помогает это сделать).

Task 4: Make up sentences (positive, negative, interrogative). (преобразуют предложения в прошедшее время)

1 группа: The woolly rhinoceros.

1. The woolly rhinoceros (to live) in Siberia over the thousand years ago.

3. It (to be) a plant eater.

4. The woolly rhinoceros (to eat) plants.

5. It (to live) at the same time as early man.

2 группа: The sabre - toothed tigers.

1. The sabre - toothed tigers (to be) a dangerous animals.

2. It (to be) a meat eater.

3. The sabre - toothed tigers (to live) many years ago.

4. It (to use) its sabre-teeth to kill big animals.

5. The sabre - toothed tiger (to live) in the North and South Americas and in Europe.

3 группа: The mammoths.

1. The mammoths (to live) between 2 million years ago and 9000 years ago.

2. The mammoths (to be) plant eaters.

3. It (to be) huge animals.

4. The mammoths (to have) long tasks.

5. It (to can) live in very cold weather.

Собираю информацию, составляем из трех карточек пазл - возвращаемся в настоящее время.
