Organization moment. Greetings.

Discuss with your students what family means to them. Explain to your pupils that they are going to be discussing families.

Instruct your pupils to draw a picture of their family tree. Have them label the individuals in their drawings.

Walk the students through some of the pictures. Identify the people in your pictures and explain each individual person's role in the family.Vocabulary: family, mummy (mum), daddy (dad), grandma (granny), grandpa (grandad), brother, sister colour 4 colours chosen by the teacher e.g. red, blue, green and yellow

•Direct your pupils to draw a picture of their families celebrating something, such as a holiday.

•Give suggestions to your pupils about what they could write

Have your pupils pick 4 people to write about. Direct your pupils to think about the roles and responsibilities of the people. Ask them to think about what their families need or want.

•Instruct your pupils to paste pictures of their families inside their books.

•Offer details and potential examples of family interactions to your students.

Game rules: version №1. 1) Collect the children's coloured cards in a pack. Shuffle the cards and deal out five cards (or fewer) for each player (depending on the size of the class). 2) Place a card face up and put the remainder of the cards (the pack) face down beside it. 3) Explain that the aim of the game is to get rid of all your cards. Children should take turns in placing a card on the card already on the table, calling out the name of the family member on their card and the colour. 4) If the colour or family member of their card matches the card facing upwards, they can leave this card on the pile and turn the next card over for the next player - e.g. if the card showing is 'Mummy Red' then children can put down 'Daddy Red', 'Granny Red', 'Granddad Red' 'Brother Red' or 'Sister Red' card as well as any other 'Mummy' (yellow, blue, green, etc.). 5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the next player. If a player's card doesn't match the card facing upwards, they must keep their cards and take a new card from the top of the pile. 6) The winner is the player (or group) who is the first person to get rid of all his/her cards. If the cards from the main pile run out and the players still have cards left, the player who has the smallest number of cards left wins.
