Урок-путешествие «A TRIP TO LONDON», 5 класс


Данный урок-путешествие с использованием ИКТ проводился в 5 классе при обобщении материала по теме «Лондон-столица Объединенного Королевства». Презентация включает в себя наглядные материалы и звуковое сопровождение урока. Использование ИКТ позволяет активизировать речевую деятельность учащихся и развивать их интерес к достопримечательностям Лондона.

Тип урока: урок обобщения и систематизации знаний с использованием ИКТ.

Цель урока: закрепление знаний учащихся по теме «Лондон».

Задачи урока:

  1. образовательный аспект: активизировать употребление лексики по теме занятия, систематизировать страноведческие знания, совершенствовать навыки аудирования, устной и письменной речи;

  2. развивающий аспект: развить речевые умения учащихся, внимание, память, умение работать в парах и микрогруппах;

  3. воспитательный аспект: прививать интерес к культуре страны изучаемого языка, воспитывать взаимоуважение и чувство ответственности.

Средства обучения:
1) наглядные: презентация (Приложение 1);
2) раздаточный материал: карточки-«таможенные бланки» (Приложение 2);
3) технические: песня "The Streets of London" (см. Приложение 1).

I. Организационный этап. (Слайд №1.)
T: Good morning, boys and girls! I'm glad to see you. How are you?
Cl: We are fine, thanks. And how are you?
T: I'm OK, thank you. Sit down, please.
(Сообщение темы урока.)
T: Today we'll have an unusual lesson. We'll make a trip to London.

II. Фонетическая зарядка. (Слайд №2.)
T: Let's start our lesson with English sounds. Look at the display. Read the sounds and the words with them after me.
(Учитель произносит звуки и слова, появляющиеся на экране, учащиеся повторяют за ним.)

III. Речевая разминка.
T: And now let's play a game "Agree or Disagree". You already know a lot about London. Listen to my sentences and be attentive. Repeat the statement if you agree with me and correct it if you disagree.
T: Trafalgar Square is in London.
P1: I agree with you, Trafalgar Square is in London.
T: Moscow is the capital of the UK.
P2: I disagree with you, London is the capital of the UK.
T: You don't want to visit Great Britain.
P3: You are mistaken, we want to visit Great Britain very much.
T: London is the biggest city of the UK.
P4: It's true. London is the biggest city of the UK.
T: London is on of the most interesting and famous cities in Europe.
P5: I agree with you. London is on of the most interesting and famous cities in Europe.
T: There are no art galleries in the capital of the UK.
P6: I disagree with you. There are some art galleries in London.
T: London is not a beautiful city.
P7: You are mistaken, London is a very beautiful city.
T: I see that you really know a lot about the capital of Great Britain. And I hope you'll get more information about it after our trip.
IV. Совершенствование навыков устной речи, аудирования и письма.

1. Парная работа. (Слайд №3.)
T: Now make up the pairs. Imagine that one of you is a tourist and the other is a customer. "The customers" should ask "the tourists" questions to fill in the forms. "The tourists" answer these questions and "the customers" put the answers down. Look at the display to see the example of filling in.

2. Фронтальная работа.
T: So, we are in London. As you know English people often talk about the weather. Let's discuss the weather today. Ask your questions any of the pupils. He should answer it and ask his question to another pupil.
P1: Is the weather sunny, (Nick)?
P2: No, it is not sunny today. Is it cloudy, (Kate)?
P3: Yes, it is. It is cloudy today. Is the weather warm today, (Denis)?
P4: No, it isn't. It is not warm today. (Mary), do you like the weather today?
P5: Yes, I do. I like the weather today. …

V. Релаксация.
T: I see that you are tired. Will you stand up? Let's remember our poem about London and do exercises.
(Учащиеся и учитель вместе рассказывают стихотворение и выполняют упражнения.)
Up, down, up, down,
(Поднимаем руки вверх и вниз)
Which is the way
(Разводим руки в стороны)
To London town?
Where? Where?
(Поворачиваемся в стороны)
Up in the air,
(Смотрим по сторонам)
Close your eyes -
(Закрываем глаза)
And you are there!
(Открываем глаза)

VI. Развитие навыков монологической речи.

1. Совершенствование навыка подготовленной монологической речи.
T: Now I'd like to invite you to the bus tour about London. We'll start it with a song "The Streets of London". (Слайд №4, звукозапись.)

(Звучит фонограмма, учащиеся вместе с учителем поют песню.)

The Streets of London
Have you seen the old man in the closed-down market,
Kicking up the papers with his worn-out shoes?
In his eyes you see no pride and held loosely by his side
Yesterday's paper telling yesterday's news.
CHORUS:
So, how can you tell me you're lonely,
And say for you that the sun doesn't shine?
Let me take you by the hand and lead you
through the streets of London,
I'll show you something to make you change your mind.

T: And now let's go. Tell about the places of interest you see. (Слайды №5-10.)
(Учащиеся представляют заранее подготовленные пересказы
о достопримечательностях Лондона, сопровождают рассказ иллюстрациями.)

P1: On the bank of the River Thames you can see the Houses of Parliament. It is also called the Palace of Westminster. Now it is the seat of the British Parliament. The Houses of Parliament have two towers: the Clock Tower "Big Ben" and the Victoria Tower with the British flag on the top. Big Ben is really a big bell.
P2: Buckingham Palace is the place where British kings and queens live when they are in London. Important visitors often go to the Palace and meet Queen Elizabeth and the royal family. A lot of tourists come to Buckingham Palace every day to see the Changing of the Guards.
P3: Trafalgar Square is the center of modern London. The Nelson's Column stands in the middle of it. There are also two large fountains here. Many Londoners and tourists like to have a rest here and enjoy the sight. The National Gallery is not far from here.
P4: The Tower of London is the oldest monument in London. It has a long and cruel history. It is a group of buildings: the White Tower, the oldest part of the Tower of London, and the Bloody Tower which has a history of blood. Now it is a museum of armour.
P5: Westminster Abbey is a symbol of England. It was built in 1065. The coronation of all British Kings and Queens takes place here. Some famous English people are also buried here.
P6: The Tower Bridge was built in 1894. It is one of the famous bridges across the Thames. It is next to the Tower of London. You can also see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament from Westminster Bridge. It opens and ships go up and down the River Thames.

2. Развитие навыков неподготовленной монологической речи
посредством работы в группах.
T: We visited a lot of interesting places in London today, but we should come back. Our trip has finished. What would you tell your friends about London? Divide into the groups of 4-5 pupils and make short stories.
(Учащиеся каждой группы готовят рассказ о путешествии в Лондон,
затем один из учащихся каждой группы представляет получившуюся историю.)

VII. Домашнее задание.
Написать сочинение на тему "Our Trip to London".

VIII. Итог урока.
T: Our lesson is over. Did you like our trip to London? Would you like to visit London in real life? Thank you for your active work at the lesson.
(Учитель подводит итог урока, оценивает работу учащихся).
