Урок-экскурсия «My school"

Aims:

-to revise the material on the topic "My school";

-to get pupils know everything about school;

-to develop pupils' intellectual activities according to the topic.

The plan of the lesson

Dear pupils, today we are going to speak about our school. Besides we'll show our guests

Where this or that classroom is situated. But to begin with I'd like to know if you are ready for our

Excursion or not. That's why I prepared some questions for you.Here they are:

1.Is our school old or new?

2.Are there three or four storeys in our school?

3.When was our school founded?

4.What subjects do you learn at school?

5.How many pupils are there in our school?

T. I see you are ready for the excursion .And now try to show your knowledge to our guests.

Pupil 1.Classrooms for junior pupils.

The pupil is taking the group to the classrooms for junior pupils, which are situated on the ground floor.

Pupil 2.Gymnasium.

Pupil 3. Canteen and Assembly Hall.

Pupil 4.Library.

Pupil 5.Headmaster's Office.

Pupil 6.The Office of Staff Heads.

Pupil 7. Classroom of English.

Pupil 8.Teachers' Room.

Pupil 9.Classroom of Computer Science.

Pupil 10.Classroom of Maths.

Pupil 11.Classroom of Natural Science.

Pupil 12.Classroom of History.

All pupils give detailed information about school.

And now we summarize our knowledge about school. I'd like to know what you have understood from this excursion.That's why I prepared some questions for you,try to guess what is meant:

1.In this classroom pupils work with computers.(Classroom of Computer Science)

2.There we learn how to do sums.(Classroom of Maths)

3.There we learn classifications of plants and animals.(Classroom of Natural Science)

4.Where can I get knowledge about famous battles? (Classroom of History)

5.This is not a classroom. There our teachers have a rest during the breaks. (Teachers' Room)
