Define new vocabulary (hung on board)

  • Volunteer - To work to help people or a cause and not be paid

  • Gap-Year - To take a year off of school before going to university to do volunteer work

  • Self-Worth - To be happy with yourself and feel confident

  • Independent - To be able to live on your own and not depend on another person

  • Empowerment - To make yourself or someone else feel stronger and to want to do something that will make people happier or the world better
