План-конспект урока в 8 классе.

Тема: British Holidays.

Учитель английского языка: Лебедева Е.Ю.

Учебник: Биболетова И.В. Enjoy English.

Цель урока: развитие иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции учащихся.

Задачи:

Развивающий аспект:

- развивать языковую догадку, память, внимание;

- повышать мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка;

- развивать умение выборочно понимать на слух необходимую информацию;

- развивать умение выбирать нужную информацию из прослушанного текста.

Воспитательный аспект:

- воспитывать культуру общения в разных видах речевой деятельности;

- воспитывать уважение к культурным традициям родной страны и страны изучаемого языка.

Учебный аспект:

- формирование лексических навыков по теме «Праздники»;

- развитие навыка аудирования;

- тренировка лексических и фонетических навыков.

Используемые технологии:

- Игровая.

- Проектная.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент.

Good morning, friends! I' m glad to see you. How are you? Are you fine today?

That's nice. If you are ready, let's start our lesson. What is the date today? What is the day of the week? Who is absent today?

2. Постановка целей и задач урока.

Today we are going to talk about very interesting topic, but I want you to guess what it is called. Please have a look at the whiteboard and tell me what we are going to talk about today. (Дети смотрят картинки различных праздников и формулируют название темы урока - праздники Англии)

Right! Our today's topic is British Holidays.At the lesson we will work at different exercises such as: learn new vocabularies, answer questions, watch the video and do some tasks. I think you will be active. I wish you good luck. Let's begin our work.

3. First, let's have a look at the vocabulary which you are going to deal with at the today's lesson:

Translate from Russian into English, from English into Russian.

Send special cards, give each other presents, bring good luck, Christmas tree, decorations, dress as ghosts and witches, special dinner, burn a model, pancakes, Pancake Races, not to sign the card, to guess, roast turkey, silver coin

4. Now you will see a video about British festivals or British holidays. Please, be very attentive, after watching it you will do some tasks.

5. Now we try to make British holidays calendar. Take your worksheets and do task 1.

6. Now we do some team work. Please divide into 3 groups.

You will get a card with mixed information. Your task is to change the sentences in order to get the description of a certain holiday. You will read it for other groups and they guess the name of a holiday. You have 5 minutes to do this task.

Каждая команда получает текст (Worksheet 2). Информация о праздниках перемешана. Также каждая команда получает по 2 карточки с названием праздника. Их задача - составить правильное описание праздника (допустимо добавление своих деталей), но не называя его, ученики из других команд должны назвать праздник.

Team 1 : Pancake Day, Christmas

Team 2 : New Year, St. Valentine's Day

Team 3 : Guy Fawkes' Night, Halloween

7. Подведение итогов, рефлексия.

Well, all of you have done a great work today. And now I'll give you the last task for today. It is a cinquain. On the blackboard I wrote the word "Holiday".

People celebrate New Year on the 5^th of November. They give each other flowers, chocolate and cards which they don't sign. Halloween is one of the best holidays for children. It is celebrated on the 14^th of February. Children go to Trafalgar Square and have fun all night long. Christmas is celebrated on the 31^st of December. On this day we dress as witches and ghosts, burn fireworks and a model of Guy Fawkes. The typical family festival is Pancake Day. Families decorate their houses, cook holiday dinner with roast turkey and pudding. Guy Fawkes' Night is on the 25^th of December. People have fun and eat a lot of pancakes.
