My dear town looks around and recalls,

A lot of marvelous roads were gone!

Happy birthday my lovely, lovely town,

Accept our congratulations and delights."

The seventieth anniversary of our town approaches. Information emits as an energetic, uncontrollable stream on all sides from all sides.

I was born in Kiselevsk, I am sixteen years old. I can't stay indifferent in such situation. And I've asked myself. What is my role? What could I help? When I was far away from my native town last summer, to my surprise nobody had known about Kiselevsk. I was sorry to hear it. So I love my small motherland, I want and can correct this unfairness. Here is my idea!

I would organize a memorable excursion around our mine town or compile a tourist guide about it. Why not? So go ahead!

Seventy years - it is a glorious jubilee of our town. I'd like to greet you, dear guests! Kiselevsk is unknown place for you, so let's discover the most bright, remarkable sightseeings together.

The first stop of our bus is the monument, which is called "Dedicating to courage". Its authors, N.N. Kuleshov, V.G. Selishev and M.G. Selishev, devoted their creative work to heroes of Kiselevsk fallen during the Great Patriotic War. This square is a place for populous meetings and holidays in honor of the Great Victory. It has become a tradition, that all newlyweds place alive flowers on the foot of the monument as their gratitude and due of respect.

I'd like to remember you how much honor means! Almost 63 years ago our compatriot, the Hero of the Soviet Union, the captain Iriney Belyaev was killed during the Great Patriotic War. But the story is about his wife's feat, which has defended honor of her husband in stubborn struggle with indifference. Unfortunately the past has always left us a site of a fire and silence, that's why our memory is especially valuable. I.F. Belyaev was killed in an unequal combat near Leningrad. His remains were discovered only in 1983 year. Thanks to his wife's persistence everybody has recognized about the fighter-pilot's feat. In 1943 year Alexandra Fedorovna received "pohoronka". She survived and devoted to the rest of her life good memory about her husband. On the first of June in 1943 I.F. Belyaev was submitted to the high rank of the Hero of the Soviet Union, but on the eighth of the June he was killed in an unequal combat with ten Germany planes, that's why these documents were not maintained. And only due to his wife's persistence and stubbornness fairness triumphed in 1991. This award is evidence of courage of the captain I.F. Belyaev and of his wife too. Honor! How much it means for honest people!

"Remember year after year, century after century about that ones, which have never come back!" I'd like to start the story about other monument devoted to the Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War - the Tree-Lined Walk of Heroes. The draft of it was designed by the director of the art school T.A. Zheshko. On the sixth of May in 2000 the monument was unveiled in the central public garden of our town in honor of the 55^th anniversary of the Great Victory over fascist Germany. Dear friends, let's go on.

Our next stop is a temple complex of the icon of God's Mother "Soonnovice". Deservedly the Orthodox Temple is considered to be the most beautiful architectural ensemble. There is the main object of interest in Kiselevsk. The Moscow Nicolskay church in Hamovniky has served as a prototype of the future temple. It is a really remarkable model of Russian church architecture of seventeenth century. Its style is Moscow baroque. At the same time the name of the temple was born. Why? The abbot of the church of Sacred Peter and Pavel the Father Michael announced that anywhere a parishioner, before she had been a nun, gave him as a gift a rare icon of the seventeenth century. That's why the temple is called such way. Inhabitants call the church by "A miracle of our town". You couldn't see anywhere in Siberia such stately construction!
