Teacher - Good morning, dear children!

Teacher - I hope you're well.
Pupils - We're hope you are too.
Teacher - Thank you. Sit down, please. Who is on duty today?
Pupil - I am on duty today.
Teacher - Who is absent? Who is away from the lesson?
Pupil - Somebody is absent today.
Teacher - What the matter with him (her, them)?
Pupil - I'm sorry. I don't know.
Teacher - Who knows?
Pupil - I think he (she) is (they are) ill.

The definition of the main aims of the lesson
Teacher -Today we continue our work on the topic "The Place We Live In". At the lesson we have to develop our speaking and writing skills (as we are going to have a word dictation) and to consolidate the knowledge in grammar and. That's why I want to start our lesson with phonetic drills and the song about the place we live in.

Phonetic drills
[ǽ] - bad, man, back. A fat cat sat on a mat and ate a fat rat.;
[η] - sitting, living, dining, sitting-room, living-room, dining-room;
[o:] - all, ball, tall, wall, small, hall;
[i:] - tea, me, sea, tree, three, key;

Teacher - It was great. And now let's recollect the words on the topic of the lesson.
1) Read the words and translate them into Ukrainian
Teacher - Look at the blackboard read the words and give their Ukrainian Equivalents:

9. Developing of grammar skills
Teacher - Let us fresh up the using of the Past Indefinite Tense. When do we use this tense?
Pupil - We use Past Indefinite when we speak about actions in the past
Teacher - Right you are. And what do we know about English verbs?
Pupil - There are regular and irregular verbs.
Teacher - It's correct. How do they differ from each other?
Pupil - In Past Indefinite we use regular verbs with the ending -ed and the second form of
the irregular verbs.
Teacher - You are quite right. Let us recollect some of the verbs.

2) Let us open the brackets to know what happened to Robert yesterday (Exercise 4,
