Тема урока: "Сomputer network"

</ Тип урока: комбинированный

Цели урока:

  1. учебные: активизация необходимой лексики учащихся для работы на уроке;

  2. развивающие: развитие лексического и грамматического навыков учащихся, развитие памяти, мышления и способности логически мыслить;

  3. воспитательные: создание условий для формирования умений высказывать своё мнение о компьютерных сетях, развитие стремления толерантного отношения к окружающим людям.

Оснащение урока: классная доска, УМК "Spotlight" Ваулина Ю.Е. 8 класс, компьютер, проектор, презентация.

Ход урока

1. Начальный этап урока:

  1. Орг. момент:

Teacher: - Good morning, boys and girls! Good morning dear guests! Nice to see you! How are you? What date is it today? What is the weather like today? Who is duty today? Who is absent for today? Thank you.

1.2. Фонетическая и речевая разминки; введение в тему:

Teacher. What shall we speak today about? Try to guess. I'll show you some hints. This is a tongue twister. Let's read it and guess what the topic of our lesson is.

Pupils: Computer and computer network.

Teacher: Good.

2. Основная часть урока:

Teacher: - Well done. That's good. And now let's remember the words which we have already learn and do the anagrams which I prepared for you. Look at the slide please.

Pupils: Computer, mobile phone…

Teacher: Perfect! Before doing tasks and reading the text, you should remember the parts of computer which we learnt at the previous lesson. Look at the slide. Let's read them in chorus.

Students: Monitor, keyboard…

Teacher. Good! So, Look at my pictures. Where has each been taken? What do you think each person is using their computer for?

Pupils: It is of an office. People use computers to do their work. It shows some people in an internet cafe. They are probably checking their emails. It shows someone beside a cash register. I think she is in the accounts office of a shop.

Teacher: Great of you! Now look at the diagram. So what is a computer network?

S: A computer network is a group of computers, software, and hardware that are all connected to help the users work together.

T: So let's check it by reading the first sentence in the text at p.119. Were you right?

S: Yes.

T: Let's do the next exercise - match the words to their meanings below. Look at the screen.

Pupils: software, computer programs, hardware, cabling system…

T: You are right. Now open your books on page 119. We are going to read the text and then do exercise "true/false sentences" (чтение текста, перевод некоторых фраз и выполнение упр.4 верно/неверно). You have 3-4 minutes.

Pupils: 1 T, 2 F, 3 T, 4 F, 5 F, 6 F,7 T.

T: Good. So look at the board please. You have got some words. Let's read them and translate. You should find the synonyms of these words in the text. You have 2 minutes.

Pupils :handle, responsible, unethical, consequences, install. procedures

3. Заключительный этап урока:

Teacher: Good of you! And now your task is to make sentences from do's and don't's of using a computer network with appropriate modal verbs. For example, Do not share computer passwords - You shouldn't share computer passwords. Start doing please. You've got 4 minutes.

Now, children, think of rules which you can add. That's good.



Teacher: We have listened about the local network but let's speak about another world wide web called Internet. Do you use it? The most famous site in Russia is vkontakte.ru. In England and USA the most popular site is facebook. What do you know about it? Let's read some information about it. And now look at some interesting slides.
