The nature of Baikal is very beautiful. There are a lot of mountains and forests around the lake. Forests are called Siberian taiga. The lake has got a nickname "The Pearl of Siberia". Baikal is a popular place among tourists from all over the world. According to the statistics 146,937 people visited Irkutsk and Baikal in 2014.
