«День Святого Валентина»

(10-е классы)

Цель: познакомить учащихся с традициями англоязычных стран.

Задачи:

1. Развивающая: развитие познавательных языковых способностей учащихся.

2. Воспитательная: создание условий для формирования интереса к культуре и традициям страны изучаемого языка.

3. Образовательная: расширение эрудиции учащихся.

Особенности планирования:

• изучить страноведческие источники об истории праздника;

• выбрать материал с учетом возрастных особенностей и интересов учащихся;

• способствовать сплочению коллектива при совместном участии в подготовке мероприятия.

Форма проведения: внеклассное мероприятие

Оборудование: магнитофон, наглядности, доска, карточки, медали, дипломы.

ХОД МЕРОПРИЯТИЯ

Ведущие: юноша и девушка, переводчик.

1^st : Dear friends! Ladies and Gentlemen! You are welcome to our party dedicated to St. Valentine's Day, which is held on February, 14th.

Переводчик: Уважаемые гости! Приглашаем на наш праздник, посвященный Дню Святого Валенти­на, который, как вам известно, отмечается 14 февраля.

2^nd : This is a very popular holiday in Europe and America. It's a day of love and friendship. We send greeting cards to our sweethearts and friends and ask them "be my Valentine". It means "be my beloved" or "be my friend". We also decorate our classrooms with big red hearts and give red roses and chocolates to our sweethearts, friends and family.

Переводчик: Этот праздник очень популярен в Европе и Америке. Это день любви и дружбы, но не только возлюбленных, но и членов семьи, друзей, родственников. Мы посылаем в этот день открытки возлюбленным и друзьям и призываем их "Будь моим Валентином". Это означает " Будь моим (моей) возлюбленной или другом (подругой)". Мы украшаем помещения. где проходят праздники, красными сердцами, и дарим розы как символ любви и счастья.

1^st : The method of choosing sweethearts on St.Valentine's Day varied in different times and places. It could be a serious matter, leading to marriage or it could be a kind of game. Today we have an interesting competition and a good holiday for all of us. So we wish you a Happy Valentine's Day!

2^nd: Contest No. 3. We are beginning our Grammar competition. Bring the cards, please. Your task is to read the card carefully and find any mistakes there are. Time for preparation -2 minutes. You'll get 1 point for identifying each mistake. Whoever is the first will get the additional point. (См. Приложение № 1)

While the Jury are summing up the results, we are looking at the hometasks of our participants. Each girl had a special hometask to prepare a Valentine Card showing her artistic skills (Contest No. 4). Girl show your cards.
