Оборудование: презентация (слайды с портретами выдающихся людей из разных сфер деятельности), карточки для самоконтроля

Цель урока - актуализация изученного материала по теме «Выдающиеся люди».

Задачи:

Практические:

- мотивировать к изучению английского языка как универсального средства коммуникации

- расширение кругозора

Образовательная:

- активизировать знания учащихся из разных предметных областей

Воспитательные:

- формировать ценностные ориентации

- активизировать познавательную деятельность

- воспитывать патриотизм и гордость за свою страну

Развивающие:

- развивать учебно-познавательную компетенцию через различные способы учебной деятельности

- развивать социокультурную компетенцию

- развивать коммуникативные умения при работе в группе

Этапы урока

I. Организационный (2мин)

• Glad to see you! Today we are going to have a quiz. Make some groups of three.

• Рада вас приветствовать! Сегодня вы будете участвовать в викторине. Для этого разделитесь на группы по три человека.

II. Актуализация знаний (3 мин)

• Our topic is "Outstanding people". We shall remember famous people of English-speaking countries and Russia.(Приложение 2. Слайд 1) You can see a few areas of activities: Literature, Science, Culture, Space, Politics and Sport. There are well-known people in each area. What famous writers do you know? Famous scientists? Artists? Astronauts? Politicians? Sportsmen?

• Тема нашей викторины - «Выдающиеся люди стран изучаемого языка и России». На слайде вы видите некоторые сферы деятельности: литература, наука, культура, космос, политика и спорт. Знаменитые люди есть в каждой из этих сфер.Каких знаменитых писателей вы знаете? Знаменитых ученых? Художников? Астронавтов? Политиков? Спортсменов?

III. Постановка цели (3мин)

• Let me inform you about the rules of the quiz.

Step 1 - Choose an area of activities.

Step 2 - Listen to short information and guess who it is. If you give the correct name of the person, you will get 10 points for your team.

Step 3 -If you don't know, you will look at the picture of the person and tell his or her name. In this case you will get 5 points.

Step 4 - If you make a mistake, you won't get any points. And another team will take a turn.

- Познакомьтесь с правилами викторины. 1. Выберите сферу деятельности. Прослушайте короткую информацию и догадайтесь, о ком идет речь. Если вы называете правильное имя, то получаете 10 баллов для своей команды. 2. Если вы не знаете, то посмотрите на портрет этого человека и назовите его (её) имя. В этом случае вы зарабатываете 5 баллов. 3. Если вы ошиблись, то ваша команда не получает баллов, а ход переходит к другой команде.

• At the end of the quiz the team, that has got the most points, will be the winner.

- В конце викторины, команда, набравшая наибольшее количество баллов, становится победителем. Вам понятны правила викторины? Тогда, начинаем!

IV. Основной этап (30 мин)

Учитель предлагает одной команде выбрать сферу деятельности. Затем зачитывает информацию об одном из известных людей из этой сферы. (Приложение 1)

Если учащиеся не угадывают личность после прослушивания информации, то учитель показывает его изображение на экране. (Приложение 2)

Если же учащиеся и в этот раз не угадывают, то ход переходит к другой команде.

V. Подведение итогов, рефлексия (7 мин)

- The quiz time is over. Count your score, please.

- Время викторины закончилось. Подсчитайте, пожалуйста, сумму ваших баллов.

(Учащиеся подсчитывают командные результаты. Определяется команда-победитель.)

(Учитель раздает карточки с образцами ответов.)

- Now, look at these cards and say what new information you have known from this quiz. Use the examples.

- А теперь посмотрите на карточки и скажите, что нового вы узнали из этой викторины. Используйте образцы.
