Цели: обобщение изученного материала по теме «Знаменитые люди».

Задачи: актуализация страноведческого материала, совершенствование навыков аудирования и устной речи, развитие кругозора учащихся, создавать возможность для проявления индивидуальных способностей учащихся, воспитание потребности в получении знаний о мировой культуре и истории, повысить мотивацию учащихся к изучению английского языка.

Оборудование: презентации Power Point, компьютер, телевизор (или проектор), наглядные пособия, театральные костюмы.

Ход урока

1. Ввод в языковую среду. Сообщение темы урока.

Hello, boys and girls! Nice to meet you! Sit down, please. What's the date today? Is anybody absent today?

How are you today? I'm glad to hear you're fine and ready to work.

So look at this slide. Can you predict the topic of our lesson today?

You're right. We're going to talk about famous British people. Today we will learn some facts from the biography of famous people.

2. Активизация лексического материала.

Now answer my questions:

1. What famous people of Russia do you know? Who can add?

2. Do you know any Russian painters (writers, pop-singers)?

3. Are you proud of the Russian famous people?

4. Do you know English writers?

5. Who is the queen of the UK?

6. Do you like reading? Which Russian and foreign writers do you know?

7. Who created Mickey Mouse?

8. Do you like cartoons?

9. Would you like to go to Disneyland?

Now let's recall some words and translate:

• She is the Queen of sixteen independent countries and their territories. She holds the crown of each country separately, but she lives in the United Kingdom. She has reigned for 64 years. (Queen Elizabeth II)

• A famous British musician who played in group "The Beatles". (John Lenon)
