Aims:

• Educational: To teach new words according to the theme.

• Developing: Focusing, listening, and speaking, to improve group working.

• Upbringing: To raise students' interest in comparing the day of English pupils with that of our schoolchildren.

Objective:

• To practice pupils' communicative skills by learning new vocabulary

• To acquire a new theme and learn words

• To practice grammar with interesting exercises.

The procedure of the lesson

T: Good morning, students! How are you?

S: Good morning teacher. We are fine and you?

T: I'm great! Who is on duty today?

S: I'm on duty today.

T: Who is absent?

T: What day and what date is it today?

S: Today is Sunday, the 12^th of April.

T: Thank you. Take your seat.

Teacher gives riddle to students and they must find the word.

T is exactly in the middle.

W is one letter before T.

A is between W and T.

R is at the end.

E is between T and R. (WATER)

• How many letters are there in the alphabet? (11)

• Why do lions eat raw meat? (Because they don't know how to cook)

Checking-up the home task

What was your home task? Are you ready? Your home task was to complete the sentences in Ex 4 on page 116 and Ex 6 In this exercise you should speak according to these words.

Introduction of the new material

Today we have a very interesting text to be discussed. Look at the exercise on page 125. The theme of the text "A day at school". Students read and translate the text and do some consolidating tasks.

Consolidation of the new material

Pupils will listen the one girl's speaking about a day at her school. Then will retell what they heard and understand.
