Урок английского языка для 6 класса по теме: How do famous people look like?

Тип урока: комбинированный

Цели:

дидактические: расширение и углубление знаний, умений и навыков в овладении иноязычной коммуникативной деятельностью; активизация употребления ранее изученной лексики; совершенствование грамматического материала Present Simple/ Present Progressive.

воспитательные: способствовать воспитанию интереса к изучаемой дисциплине.

развивающие: способствовать развитию речи, эстетического вкуса и познавательной активности.

Задачи: повторить грамматическую тему Present Simple, проверить усвоение ранее изученной лексики по теме «Appearance».

Ход урока

1. Вводная часть.

1.1 Организационный момент.

Good morning, pupils! I'm very glad to see you today. I hope that our work brings us much use. I think it will be a good experience for us. Get ready for the lesson and we shall start.

1.2 Мотивация учебной деятельности.

The plan of our work is following: today we're going to speak about clothes. We will rewise the words on this topic and also find out what clothes you like to wear at home and at school. We should also make some exercises and check your homework. I hope you will work hard as usual and be attentive at the lesson.

1.3 Фонетическая зарядка.

Before starting our lesson let's practice phonetics. Listen to the rhyme attentively.

Betty bought some bitter butter

And it made her batter bitter

So Betty bought some better butter to make her bitter batter better.

Tell me please, what sound does it train? Ученики отвечают. -Let's translate this rhyme.-Good work. I will read the rhyme line by line. Listen and repeat after me.

2. Актуализация опорных знаний.

2.1.The topic of our lesson is Clothes. Last time you have learnt some words. It's high time to rewise them. Open your books at page 11. Look through the word- box. I'll give you 3 minutes. - Let's check your knowledge.

These are the words on our topic. You should find English word to each Russian equivalent.

2.2 Now I want you to make a list of top 5 things that you like to wear. - Compare these things with those you wear at school.

2.3. Open your exercise books at page 6 ex 1. You should look at the picture and say if you are wearing this kind of clothing or not.

2.4. Game "Asking others"

Look at these things again and answer my questions: -what is the thing you use for going at school? -what is the thing you use for going at the theatre? - … cleaning the house? - … going to trainings? - … traveling? - walking in a windy weather? - … working in the garden?

3. Закрепление изученного материала.

So, now we know what you like to wear and what you used to wear. Let's get to know what famous people wear. Open your books at p4. Here you see pictures of different famous people. There are Charles Chaplin, John Kennedy and Arnold Schwarzenegger among them. Let's try to describe their appearance according to the following points:

• Height

• Build

• Hair colour

• Hair style

• Eyes

• Face

• nose

4. Актуализация опорных знаний.

It's high time to practice some grammar. Open your books at page 256. Let's remember how to build the Present Progressive and the Present Simple Tense. Let's mention all cases when we use these tenses.

- Now listen to the task, please. You should choose the appropriate form of the verb. Let's do it right now. (AB p 6 ex 4)

5. Домашнее задание.

Open your record books. At home you should describe appearance of one of your relatives. Use the words from the word-box at p5. Be attentive. Think thoroughly upon each sentence.

6. Подведение итогов.

6.1 Анализ активности учащихся и выставление оценок.

Today you worked hard. We have done many exercises, rewised our words describe appearance of famous people. I'm satisfied with your work.

…, I give you an excellent mark, because you're very bright pupil. You work very quickly and make little mistakes. You're very industrious pupil. …, I give you a good mark. Be more active & attentive. You can work better, but I hope next time you'll be on the top. Don't be afraid of speaking. Mistakes are ok. Everybody make them.
