Today is our last lesson on the topic "School life". We'll revise the material and then I'll tell you about «St. Valentine's Day».

Собираю тетради с домашним заданием

Задаю ребятам вопросы:

-Do you like your school?

-How old is your school?

- How many pupils study in our school?

Показываю тетрадь, пенал, линейку, стерку и спрашиваю:

Когда показываю тетрадь достаю из неё карточки со словами. Работа с карточками:

Этап 1- перевод слов с англ. на русский язык.

Этап 2-с русского на англ.

Этап 3 - все вместе (перемешиваю слова).

I have something else for you. Переводим предложение. Ребята, зачем нам нужны неопределённые местоимения?

Раздаю ребятам карточки с заданием. Тест, нужно выбрать 1 правильный вариант.

Задаю ребятам вопрос:

На доске написаны предложения. Ребятам нужно прочитать предложение, выбрать к нему «хвостик» и намагнитить его к предложению.

Once lived a man. His name was Valentine. He was a good doctor. Many people loved him. He was clever and kind. Valentine was put in prison and was sentenced to death. At that time people celebrated New Year in the middle of February. Children and adults came to congrutalate and thank Valentine for help. The jailor (тюремный надзиратель ) had a blind daughter. And he decided to show it to Valentine. It turned out that he helped her. But she fell in love with him. So, soon Valentine was executed. The only thing he left was a love letter to his sweetheart.

So, is it a funny story? It's a pity, but it is a sad story.

This day has got many symbols.

Dove - it brings good luck.

Arrow - a cupid throw it.

Flower - men usually give flowers women at this day.

Rose - a symbol of big love.

Ribbon - Valentines usually have ribbons.

Heart - a symbol of love.

Cupid - a small angel that unites hearts.

Darling - sweethearts call each other darling.

Friend - not only sweetheart can get and send Valentines.

I want to tell you about some of them.

1. If you cut an apple in half and count how many seeds are inside, you will know how many children you will have.

2. In some countries a young woman receive a gift of clothing from a young man. If she keeps the gift, it means she'll marry him.

But not only gifts can get people on this day. People can get and send Valentines on this day. I'll show you some Valentines I have.

People write a small poems inside Valentines. I want to read you some of them.

Ребятам нужно расшифровать названия символов и записать их в табличку. В итоге должно получиться предложение : Love is in the air.

- Yes, love is everywhere. We can't live without love.

Your home task is to make our own Valentine. Use your imagination and any material you like.
