Задачи:

1) закрепить знания учащихся по теме простое прошедшее время, правильные и неправильные глаголы

2) развивать умение работать в коллективе и принимать совместное решение;

развивать положительные личностные качества;

3) воспитывать уважение к культуре своей страны и стран изучаемого языка.

Оснащение урока:

The procedure of the lesson

I. Org moment.

Teacher: Good afternoon, children and our guests! I'm very glad to see you here. Now we shall organize a quiz-lesson "I know everything". Teams will take part in a game of the most quick-witted and the cleverest. It's time to introduce yourselves.

1^st team: Friendship

2^nd team: Knowledge

3^rd team: Intelligence

4^th team: Beauty

Teacher: Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the game. We remember past simple, regular and irregular verbs.

Now I'm going to teach you how to play this game. The game has 6 contests, they are:

1) Tongue twisters.

2) A magic 5.

3) Interesting verbs

4) Sentences and questions

5) I like speaking

6) What is it?

Well, I wish you success. Be active, honest and helpful!

II. Competition

1) Tongue twister.

Team choose 2 pupils. You should read the tongue-twister as quickly as you can.

a) Yellow butter, purple jelly, red jam, black bread. Spread it thick, say it quick!

b) I bought a carrot for my parrot. The parrot didn't like the carrot

2) A magic 5

we come to the 2^nd contest which is called "A magic 5". Look at the square, each team will take turns in answering questions. You'll choose any number. You have verbs. You should divide them into regular and irregular and make Past Simple form.

6) What is it? The following task is the last. Listen the text and try to say what city is it.

a) It is an old city. It is situated on the river Thames. It is famous for its historic buildings, double-decker buses and black taxi. There is famous clock Big Ben there. (London)

b) It is modern city. It is situated on the river Esil. There are many new beautiful tall buildings, theatres, parks. The popular places are Baiterek, Khan Shatyr. (Astana)

c) It is very big city. It is situated in America. There are many skyscrapers in this city. You can visit famous Chinatown here. (New York)

d) It is very beautiful and romantic city. It is in Europe. It is called the city of lovers. Many people want to visit famous Eiffel tower. (Paris)
