План-конспект урока английского языка по теме «Волшебная карта» (страны, континенты) в 5-м классе

Предмет: английский язык

Класс: 5 ''А''

Тема урока: «Волшебная карта»

Тип урока: урок систематизации знаний, умений и навыков

Практическая цель (прогнозируемый результат):

совершенствовать навыки и умения чтения географических названий, а также народов, живущих в указанных странах.
Активизировать употребление лексики в речи учащихся. Предполагается, что к окончанию урока учащиеся смогут рассказывать о стране с помощью опор, смогут реализовать свои творческие способности.

1.Образовательная: развитие кругозора учащихся континентах, странах, столицах, национальностях и языках этих стран.
2. Воспитательная: формирование навыков общения, работы в группах.
3. Развивающая: развитие памяти, логического мышления, догадки, внимания.

Задачи:

развивать речевые умения и навыки по теме;

активизировать употребление лексики по теме, расширять словарный запас;

активизировать языковой материал в устной речи;

способствовать развитию умений использовать в устной речи информацию, полученную в ходе восприятия иноязычной речи на слух;

Задачи для учащихся:

учиться высказывать свою точку зрения на английском языке;

учиться применять полученные знания на практике.

Оборудование урока: компьютер, телевизор, раздаточный материал, карта, фломастеры (карандаши).



Ход урока

1. Организационный этап

Good morning! I am glad to see you. How are you? It's that's you are OK. What day is it today? What date is it today? Good!

It's high time to start our lesson. It is called "The Magic Map". In the lesson we are going to revise all the knowledge you've got on the topic "Continents, countries and animals". We will communicate, listen to the text, discuss it, answer questions, sing songs. Be attentive, active, positive and creative! Look at the blackboard. There is our magic map. During our lesson we will complete it with continents, countries, people and animals.


3. Речевая зарядка

First of all look at this picture. What is it? You are right! It is our planet, our world. I believe that you really want to travel and to visit all the continents and countries. What continents do you know?

(South America, North America, Eurasia, Africa, Australia, Antarctica)

Let's sing a song and revise all the continents. Let's stick continents to the map.

Now answer the questions, please.

  2. What is the smallest continent? (Australia)

  3. What is the hottest continent? (Africa)

  4. What is the coldest continent? (Antarctica)

  5. It is a continent where the USA are situated. (North America)

  6. It is a continent where Brazil is situated. (South America)

Good job!


Now let's revise the nationalities. Look at the cards and repeat after me. Let's do the task. You are to look at the slideshow and guess the nationalities and then stick these people to our map.

How are you? I'm writing to share my emotions. Last holidays I visited the zoo in Schotland. It was so interesting. There were a lot of animals there. I saw camels, nice pandas and koalas. I saw the fastest animal of our planet - a cheetah! I was surprised to see a polar bear and penguins there. But I also saw some animals that live in water: sharks, octopuses, dolphins. My dream came true: I saw kangaroos. They are so charming.

All the animals are beautiful. I'm lucky to see them. I believe soon you will see them too.

Now I'd like to devide you into to groups. You need a sheet of paper, colour pencils and your imagination. Your task will be to create a new continent or a new country and then present it. I mean tell some words about it, its people, nature, animals and so on. Start working. Please. You've got about 3-4 minutes.
