Тема :Природа и окружающая среда(11 класс)

Цели урока : образовательные: совершенствование грамматических навыков по теме «Модальные глаголы», закрепление лексических навыков по теме «Защита окружающей среды»;

развивающие: развивать умение запрашивать и сообщать информацию в соответствии с поставленной коммуникативной задачей;

воспитательные: способствовать формированию устойчивого познавательного интереса к изучаемому языку.

Ход урока.

I этап. Организационный момент.

Good morning, my dear boys and girls! Today we will have a competition on the topic "Modal verbs". You will play games and do different tasks. You will get a "stick" if you do the task better than others. The winner of our competition will be a person who will have more sticks than other pupils. Let's begin, please.

( Приветствую детей и сообщаю им о проведении викторины по теме «Модальные глаголы». Ученики, выполнившие успешно задание, получают жетоны-палочки. Победителем викторины являет

ся ученик, получивший наибольшее количество жетонов.)

II этап. Задание №1.

Let's remember the modal verbs. Let's name them all together.

(Учащимся предлагается вспомнить известные модальные глаголы. Дети называют изученные модальные глаголы, а учитель вывешивает карточки с данными глаголами на доске.)

КАРТОЧКИ НА ДОСКЕ:

must, could, may, might, can, need, should, ought to.

• Now we can see different modal verbs. The task for you is to listen to the dialogue and complete it with the words from the blackboard. Are you ready to start?

( Первое задание для учащихся: прослушать диалог и заполнить пропуски в записи данного диалога на карточке. Для выполнения данного задания каждый ученик получает индивидуальную карточку. Диалог прослушивается дважды. После второго прослушивания ученики зачитывают предложения, в которые были вставлены слова. За каждое правильное составленное предложение учащиеся получают 1 жетон.)

Диалог:

- Hello!

- Hello! This is Andrew. Can I speak to Ann, please?

- Hang on a moment, I'll get her.

- Hi, Andrew! What's up?

- Hi, Ann. We're going to arrange a "clean-up-day" in the small park behind the school next weekend. Would you like to join us?

- Not a bad idea. I'll join you with pleasure. The park is the place where litter is a real problem, isn't it?

- Could you draw a poster reminding people about pollution?

- I'll try and do my best. We must talk about ecological problems. What else should we do to protect nature?

- Oh, many things I think. We should bring bottles to a recycling center. We must not throw away trash. We have to learn about ecology in science class. In my opinion, everybody needs to learn about ecology.

- All right. Can I take Alex with me?

- Sure! Bye!

- See you soon!

III этап. Задание №2.

• Now it's time to ask and answer the questions. Do you remember tag-questions? Read the sentences on the cards, make up tag-questions and let your classmates answer them.

Для выполнения следующего задания учащиеся получают карточки с предложениями. Задания для учеников: прочитать предложение и задать разделительный вопрос, на который будут отвечать одноклассники. Ученик, составивший вопрос, и ученик, который ответил на него, получают по жетону.

ЗАДАНИЕ НА КАРТОЧКЕ:

1. People should keep the planet suitable for living, …?

2. Water pollution may be controlled by chemical means, …?

3. I think people will be able to solve this problem, … ?

4. We can recycle aluminium cans, newspapers, cloth, metal, …?

5. The children must not smoke, …?

КЛЮЧ:

IV этап. Задание №3.

- Will you look at the blackboard? You can see some pictures there. Look at the picture №1. Can you think of any sentences on it using the modal verbs?

На доску вывешиваются картинки для составления предложений. Следует обратить внимание учащихся на необходимость использования модальных глаголов. За каждое правильно составленное предложение ученик получает 1 жетон.

Предложения:

1. We must stop polluting air now.

2. We must not throw away litter.

3. We should plant trees.

4. We can make houses for birds.

5. We can recycle empty cans and glass.

V этап. Задание№4.

- It's time to remember the English well-known proverbs and sayings in which the modal verbs are used. Match the two parts of the proverbs and translate them.

Учащимся предлагается вспомнить английские пословицы и поговорки. Задание для учащихся: соотнести две части предложения и перевести пословицы и поговорки. За каждое правильно составленное и переведенное предложение ученик получает 2 жетона.

Пословицы:

VI этап. Подведение итогов.

- Thank you for your work. I can see you are good at grammar. You can use modal verbs very well. Now it's time to finish our work. It is interesting to know who is the winner today.

Подсчитывается количество жетонов и определяется победитель.

В заключении учащиеся читают свои стихи (литературный перевод стихов с английского языка, над которыми они работали во время изучения темы «Защита окружающей среды. Модальные глаголы».
