План урока

Тема урока - «Современные формы общения людей: «за» и «против».

Тип урока - урок общеметодологической направленности (деятельностная цель - формирование способности учащихся к новому способу действия, связанному с построением структуры изученных понятий и алгоритмов; образовательная цель - выявление теоретических основ построения содержательно-методических линий).

Цель

Результат

Воспитательная:

Способствовать формированию критического отношения школьников к современным способам человеческого общения, определить роль и место различных способов общения в жизни подростка.

Личностный:

Обучающиеся понимают значимостьобщения в жизни современных людей и осознают важность выбора адекватного способа коммуникации с учётом конкретной жизненной ситуации.

Развивающая:

Создать условия для формирования способности школьников к творческому применению полученных ранее знаний, для совершенствования их умений анализировать, сравнивать, выделять главное.

Метапредметный:

Обучающиеся способны анализировать, сравнивать разные способы коммуникации, выявлять их преимущества и недостатки

Практическая:

Создать на уроке условия для расширения понятийной базы по теме «Различные способы общения людей» и совершенствования речевой компетенции школьников.

Предметный:

Обучающиеся способны в устной форме продемонстрировать преимущества и недостатки различных способов общения людей, представить свой любимый метод общения и «социальную сеть», которая складывается благодаря данному способу.

Оборудование: учебник Кауфман К.И., Кауфман М.Ю. для VIII класса, раздаточный материал с текстами на английском языке, видеофрагмент "TheEvolutionofCommunication", видеофрагмент "TheLostArtofFace-to-FaceCommunication", весы с надписями "Advantages" и "Disadvantages".

Лексический материал: темы «Общение людей», «Мобильный телефон», «Интернет и новые технологии», «Язык SMS».

Грамматический материал:видо-временные формы английского глагола в действительном и страдательном залоге, устойчивые выражения с глаголами, использование выражений с предлогами, степени сравнения прилагательных, структура Iwouldratheruse, сложные предложения с придаточным условия.

1. Введение в тему урока. Просмотр видеоролика "TheEvolutionofCommunication".

What are we going to focus on at the lesson?

T: We'll focus on modern ways of communication that all teenagers love and use every day. But we'll also try to observe the "evolution" of your attitude to communication.

2. Ознакомление с новой лексикой:

Complete each phrase using the verbs in the box. You can use more than one verb for each phrase.

Ss take cards and stick them to the way they prefer.

T: Let's weighall the pros and cons of your favourite ways of communication. Mobile telephones first.

I invite two pupils: one will protect mobiles, the other will try to find disadvantages.

Вывод: Are mobile phones worth using? Can you imagine your life without mobile calls and SMS messages?

T: Let's weigh advantages and disadvantages of social networking sites. I invite two pupils here.

Вывод: All ways of communication have both positive and negative effects. The main thing is to choose the right method in each situation.

I can't do without my mobile …

How often do you send and receive text messages?

It depends on. Sometimes I often send text messages and e-mails. And sometimes I don't.

Whom do you send text messages and e-mails?

I send them to friends, parents and relatives. As for me I send them to strangers in the internet chat rooms and on messenger services.

What kind of language do you use?

I often communicate using a written form of language, called "Cyber - English". What can you say about this new form of the language?

Is such language more comfortable than the usual written English?

Yes, of course, because you can write and send messages and e-mail much quicker.

T: Why do we have to use different means of communication in our life? What does our choice depend on?

5. T: I'd like you to watch the video which will be rather challenging, But don't be afraid as I ask you to name the problem connected with communication.

Ss: The problem is we are losing the skills and abilities of face-to-face contacts. We become too dependent on emails and text messages and focus on the object not on the person.

T: What should we do to save direct human communication?

6. As we have already said, people and relationships are the most important and all modern ways of communication are just effective tools.
