1.Начало урока. Орг. момент.

Hello, dear boys & girls! Glad to see you again. Hope, you are OK. Let's start our lesson.

3.Определение темы урока, постановка цели.

Today we are going to speak about one of most interesting & exciting hobbies in the world. I have some expressions. Please, choose possible topics & I'd like you to name it.

Yes, you're quite right. The topic of our lesson today is "Travelling".

And what are we going to do?

(Учащиеся предполагают: We'll read texts, learn new words… с использованием лексики I think…, I believe… etc.)

Yes, we'll improve our speaking skills, using our knowledge of the topic.

Реоple began to travel many years ago. The first travellers were explorers, who wanted to discover new lands and to find wealth. Their journeys were rather dangerous. Modern life is impossible without travelling. Thousands of people travel every day. International travel these days has become cheaper, quicker and more convenient for many people.

By the way, why do people travel nowadays?

(Учащиеся отвечают на вопрос, используя предыдущие знания.)

1. -People travel to see other countries and continents, modern cities and the ruins of ancient towns. They want to meet different people and make friends with them, to try local food, to listen to different musical rhythms.

2. It is very interesting and exciting to travel and to discover new things, different ways of life. We can visit different places of interest and see ancient palaces and churches, wonderful castles and famous monuments.

3. In my opinion, travelling broadens the mind. While travelling we can see and learn a lot of interesting things that we can never learn staying at home and watching TV or reading books.

4. From my point of view, some people travel to explore nature, to enjoy picturesque places or just for a change of scene.

I think that travelling is a good way to practice foreign languages. If you are fond of travelling abroad, it is necessary to know English. In this case it is easier for you to communicate, to understand people and to be understood. English will help you to learn more about new customs and traditions, to understand the culture of a foreign country better.

7. Now, I'd like you to improve your asking skills. Let's work line by line. Ask & answer your classmates' questions about travelling habits in your families.

8. There is a very good saying ( на доске слова - Travel is the only thing you buy, that makes you richer). How do you understand these words?

If people buy something, they become richer. For example, if you buy pictures, books, jewelry, some furniture you become a wealthy person. But while travelling we only spend a lot of money. How can we become richer?
