  1. The Environmental Problems

Environmental pollution is becoming dangerous. A lot of waste from factories and plants can cause the distruction of our seas and rivers. People and animals can be poisoned by dirty water. The other important problems are shortage of natural resources and the growth of population. Nuclear tests are not safe either. We will survive if we protect the nature all together.

  1. England

Holidaymakers arrive in England to admire its beautiful scenery. Highlands turn into lowlands, forests and valleys turn into meadows and plains very quickly. Fields divided by hedges always look very attractive. You can visit many places connected with culture and history, for example, Oxford University or the Shakespeare's birthplace. East Anglia is isolated from the rest of Britain because of its shape and position.

  1. The Royal Family

In the 19th century Britain was a great empire. Nowadays in Britain the monarch reigns but has no real power. The Queen's official residence is in London, where you can see public processions walking along the avenue. The Queen sits on the Throne and wears a crown. Elizabeth II is good as politics and likes classical music.

  1. Scotland

Sam is a modest and smart man. He lives in a picturesque place. Everyone can see his devotion to his family. There is a striking contrast between Sam and his brother. Sam likes military music. He works in the prosperous trade centre. Sam always concentrates on the work. He is very busy.

  1. The USA

My friend's great-grandparents were born in the USA, which is called "a melting pot". In the USA there are farmlands and grasslands, empty desertsand endless forests, mountain chains and sandy beaches. The mighty Mississippi rises in the north and ends in the south. It is an important waterway. In the cities you can see high skyscrapers.

  1. The US Government

The constitution is the highest law in the USA. The first ten amendments to the Constitution are called the Bill of Rights. Congressmen and senators represent their states. The Vice President and the President's helpers support him and help make decisions. The citizens vote for the President every leap year. His term is four years. The Supreme Court consists of nine judges.

  1. The American President

George Washington had two private teachers when he was a boy. His family didn't live in poverty. He learned to shoot, to measure land and he spent much time on horseback. He was a major in the militia during the war. When Washington became the president, people trust him and respected him for his honesty and wisdom.

  1. Australia

Australia is situated in the Southern Hemisphere. Wheat and tropical fruit (peaches, pears, apricots) are grown in the south of the continent. Northern Territory is the least populated part. Uninhabited sandy deserts occupy more than half of the vast land. Alice Springs, generally called Alice, is the only town there.
