Module 1 "Going green", page 23.

Цель урока: формировать коммуникативную, лингвистическую компетенцию.

Задачи:

1. Образовательные: активизировать и совершенствовать актуальный словарный запас обучающихся по экологической тематике. Способствовать развитию навыков монологической и диалогической речи, письма, восприятия речи на слух по теме " Environment protection" . Научиться использовать английский язык для повышения общей культуры, расширению кругозора и знаний по теме " Экология".

2. Развивающие: развивать память, логическое мышление, речевую реакцию. Развивать умение логически, последовательно выражать свои мысли на английском языке. Развивать умение выражать свое отношение к определенной проблеме. Развивать способность к рефлексии, как важнейшей составляющей умения учиться.

3. Воспитательные: воспитывать понимание необходимости бережного отношения к природе, к своему микрорайону, понимание того, что каждый может сделать вклад в защиту окружающей среды. Способствовать развитию творческого отношения к учебной деятельности.

Используемые технологии: информационно-коммуникативная, здоровье-сберегающая, групповая и парная работа, перспективно-опережающая.

Планируемые результаты: развитие умений устной речи по экологической тематике; изложение аргументированного мнения на основе прочитанного; совершенствование навыков аудирования.

Средства обучения: аудиовизуальные( компьютер, проектор); информационные ( интернет-ресурсы; слайд-шоу, выполненное в программе Power Point); раздаточный материал.

Тип урока: урок развития речевых умений.

Ход урока:

1. Организационный этап.

T: Good morning, my dear students! Nice to meet you! Take your seats, please. How are you today?

What is the weather like today? Does your mood depend on the weather? What kinds of weather do you like most of all?

1. Постановка цели и задач урока. Мотивация учебной деятельности учащихся.

T: Our today's lesson is devoted to….guess what? Now listen to the poem and try to define the topic of our lesson, please.

"We want to see blue seas

We want to see green trees,

We are defenders of our land.

We want to breathe clean air,

We want to show we care,

We know the future's in our hands.

We want to see flowers grow,

To pollution we say "No!"

S1, S2 say: Our lesson will be devoted to some ecological problems.

T: Yes, you are absolutely right. As you know, ecology is a science that studies the environment and the way plants, animals and humans live together and affect each other. Many years ago man lived in harmony with nature. Today the situation is quite different. The intensive development of science and industry results in air pollution, land pollution, water pollution. It is necessary to unite our efforts to save the planet we live in. Everyone can do some effort to improve the place he lives in and make it cleaner, greener. Do you agree with me?

2. Актуализация знаний.

Работа по учебнику. Module 1, page 23, "Going green".

Exercise 1.

( Учащиеся слушают музыку, закрыв глаза. Учитель спрашивает об их ощущениях, что они видят и представляют.)

S1 answers: I see children rushing to school; deliveries being dropped off at the local stores and people rushing about to get to work. I smell bread baking in the local bakery. I hear lots of noise from the traffic in the streets. The busy day is about to begin.

Exercise 2. Развитие монологической речи.

Прилагательные описательного характера. Учащиеся описывают свой микрорайон с помощью данных в упражнении прилагательных:

-green, clean, crowded, dark, polluted, dirty, pleasing, noisy, quiet, peaceful.

Suggested answer key: My neighborhood is busy as many people live in the area. It is polluted and noisy because of much traffic. But there is a green park and a stadium nearby and I can rest and enjoy playing some games there.

T: Now I would like you to offer me the slogan of our lesson.

Suggested answer key: "Study Nature. Love Nature and your Neighborhood. It will never fail you".

T: Now I give you sheets of paper and you need to explain the meaning of the following words.

(Учащиеся получают карточки со словами по экологической тематике и пишут свое объяснение данных слов).

Exercise 3. Знакомство с текстом. Развитие языковой догадки по картинкам и заголовкам статей. Совместное обсуждение, о чем идет речь в статье; цель написания такой статьи.

Answer key: The leaflet is about helping the environment. Its purpose is to get the local community to do something to improve area.

Exercise 4. Чтение статьи вслух. Перевод выделенных шрифтом слов и словосочетаний.

(Каждая группа предлагает свои пути решения данной проблемы и представляет свое решения другим группам).

Аудирование текста.

Учитель включает аудиозапись текста " Curb-side recycling programs". Задание: после прослушивания суммировать идеи на базе данной схемы.

"Curb-side recycling programs".

Since the 1970's the political and social environmental movement has also succeeded in making recycling programs common in the United States. Most cities now have "curb-side" recycling programs, where individual households put paper, glass, and aluminum in bins outside their house. These materials are picked up and sent to a recycling center where they are recycled rather than thrown away. These programs have been very successful, and have brought about more environment awareness. Since the environmental movement has become so popular and strong in the U.S. many manufactures have also changed their products in order to be more environmentally friendly. Many fast food companies stopped using Styrofoam packaging and switched to paper or cardboard. Most detergent companies now have environmentally safe brands available after it became known how much these cleaning products were polluting the water supply.

Задание. Учитель предлагает учащимся несколько поговорок на английском языке по теме " Экология". Задание - подобрать русские эквиваленты.

Творческое задание- нарисовать свой микрорайон и представить классу.

T: Thank you for your good work today. You have all been very active and creative. I believe we will do our best and save the wonderful planet we are living on.

Your home task will be exercise№ 6, page 23. Prepare a project "Clean, green neighborhood day." Collect information using Internet and take pictures of your living area. Present your project to the class. Is it clear? Any questions?

Рефлексия. Подведение итогов урока.

T: Let's sum up the results of our work today. What have we done at the lesson?

S1: We have discussed environmental problems in our city, living area and in general, on our Planet.

S2: We have learnt some information about pollution of living area, recycling process and planting trees to make our neighborhood better, cleaner, greener.

S3: We have done some interesting work: translated proverbs and sayings of famous people, worked in pairs and in team, listened to an interesting text about environmental movement.

T: Thanks for your work. I hope we will continue to speak about our environmental problems and try to solve them by own right action and example. Now estimate each other work and put marks.
