Тема: «Family Ties» («Семейные узы»)

Цели:

Практическая: формирование грамматических навыков употребления модального глагола CAN; развитие навыков употребления в речи изученной ранее лексики по теме «Family Ties».

Образовательная: ознакомление детей со способностями и умениями их сверстников.

Развивающая: развивать мышление, память.

Воспитательная: воспитание чувства любви и уважения к родственникам; воспитание уважения к семейным отношениям, своей семье; воспитание культуры общения.

Тип урока: training-communicative.

Оборудование:

1. Учебник: Ваулина Ю. В. Английский язык. 5 класс: учебник для общеобразовательных учреждений / Ю. Е. Ваулина, Дж. Дули, О. Е. Подоляко, В. Эванс. М.: Express Publishing : Просвещение, 2012. - 164 с. : ил. - (Английский в фокусе)

2. Доска, мел, картинки, аудиозаписи.

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент (5 минут):

Учитель: Good morning, boys and girls.

Ученики: Good morning, teacher.

Учитель: I'm glad to see you.

Ученики: We are glad to see you too.

Учитель: Sit down, please. Let's start our lesson. Answer my questions, please. What date is it today?

Учитель: Fine. What season is it now?

Учитель: You are right. What's the weather like today?

Учитель: Well done! Thank you.

2. Сообщение темы урока:

Учитель: Let's start our work. So, at the lesson today we'll speak about your families. Today we shall also listen to the text and study a new grammar material.

But now let's repeat the words. Look at the blackboard and repeat after me: mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, sister, brother, daughter, son, aunt, uncle.

3. Основная часть урока (35 минут):

1. Vocabulary. Open your books on page 56, please. (p. 56, ex. 1)

Look at Kate's secret diary. Who is her: mother (mom)? brother? grandfather? father? sister? grandmother?

2. Reading. Now, children, open your books on page 56 ex.2. Listen to the text.

Do exercises to this text.(p. 56, ex. 2)

What is the text about? Read and mark the sentence: R (Right); W (Wrong) or DS (Doesn't say).

1. Kate plays the violin. - DS

2. Jane can dance.

3. David can speak five language.

4. Kate's got a baby brother.

5. Kate visits her grandparents every weekend.

Answer the questions:

What is Kate's mother's name?

Can her dad speak French?

What kind of boy is her brother?

Does Kate's grandmother like to coor?

Can her baby sister walk?

3. Speaking. Use the adjectives in Ex. 3 to talk about your family.

A: What's your sister like?

B: She's naughty and noisy.

4. Grammar. Now we'll begin to study a new grammar material, but first of all open your books page GR2 MODULE 4. Read this rule and then we shall discuss it. (p. 57)

What does the verb Can mean? (ability, the ability to do something) What features has the modal verb Can (not modified for person and number and it should always be a verb meaning without the particle to). Now let's do exercise 5 page 57.

Use Kate's diary to complete sentences 1-5 with can or can't.

1. Jane ________ play the guitar.

2. Emma _________ walk.

3. Helen _________ make cookies.

4. David _________ speak Russian.

5. Ben __________ make people laugh.

4. Завершающая часть урока (5 минут):

Учитель: Open your diaries, please and write down your home task: p. 57, ex. 9. Write a diary page about your family. Use Kate' secret diary as a model.
