Тема: Health and care of it (Здоровье и забота о нем)

Цель: формирование знаний учащихся по теме Health

Задачи направлены на достижение предметных результатов:

1. овладеть новыми лексическими единицами

2.совершенствовать умения и навыки практического владения английским языком

3.изучить новый грамматический материал (модальный глагол should)

4. развивать память, внимание и мышление

5. совершенствовать коммуникативные умения в таких основных видах речевой деятельности как говорение, чтение

6. воспитывать привычку к здоровому образу жизни

Задачи направлены на формирование общих компетенций:

1. получать информацию в результате смыслового прочтения текста

2. работать в группе по решению общих учебных задач

3. использовать устную речь для аргументации своих выводов

4. формировать навыки общения, обсуждения поставленной проблемы в коллективе, совместного поиска верного решения

5.брать на себя ответственность за работу членов группы, за результат выполнения задания

Open your exercise-books and write down the date.

Before we start to discuss the topic of our lesson, let's say the tongue-twister. It is written in the copy on your table. Look at your copy№1 and repeat after me altogether. "Whenever the weather is cold. Whenever the weather is hot. We'll weather the weather, Whatever the weather, Whether we like it or not." Thank you, good for you.

Now I'll give you a sheet of paper with new words. We are going to read these words and translate them. Firstly I read, and then you repeat altogether. Write down the translation, please.

Let's read the text now, read one by one and translate.

Well, good for you.

Now we are going to do exercise "true or false", which is given after the text.

In the text we met modal verb "Should". It is used for giving advice or recommendations.

You should divide into two groups. I'll give each group a copy with a list of advice/recommendations which we should follow or shouldn't follow to be healthy. The task for the first group is to discuss and tell us what we should do to be healthy and for the second group is to discuss and tell us what we should not do to be healthy. I'll give you two minutes to read this list and we'll start to check.
