Story-teller: -Once upon a time in a large town there lived two poor children. They were not relatives, but loved each other, like a brother and a sister.
Herda: -Oh, Cay!Catch me! Catch me!
Cay: -I'm fast. I'll catch you in no time. Let's play a ball. Oh, it's good. it's pleasure to have fun with you.
Herda: (running up to the roses) Cay! Our roses! Aren't they beautiful?
Cay:-Yes, I like them very much. It's great! There is a cold winter out and we have such wonderful roses here.
Herda: -Yes, our roses are really wonderful, but I an afraid if Snow Queen knows about them she will make them die.
Cay:-Let her dare! I will put her on the hot stove
Herda: -No,no,no, my dear. Calm down. Take a book and look at the pictures. (children are looking at the pictures, joking, laughing)
(Five strikes are hearing) The Snow Queen is running into a room and go round
Granny: -My God! It's the Snow Queen. How beautiful she is. He dress is shining with bluish light. Long silvery beams lay across it, making it sparkle like fine diamond dust.
(Snow Queen touches Cay with her ice stick)
Cay: -Oh, something hurts my heart and my eye
Herda: -I can help you-But I see nothing
Story teller: -Poor Cay. It's the Snow Queen. Now his heart became icy. (S-t runs up to Cay, take out a bluish glittering 'heart' out of from Cay's suit pocket and shows it to all spectators, then puts it back)
Herda: -Poor Cay!
Cay: -Why! Stop it. Why are you so ugly? You are bad. And all of you are bad and ugly. And all these people! I can't look at them. Hey! You have a bad dress. And your shoes are old and dirty. (addressind to different spectators) Look! You roses are black and awfull! Ha-ha!
Granny: -Poor Thing! Calm down!
Cay:-Stop sayi ng this, you old woman. You are bad and wicked.
Herda: -Oh, Cay!
Cay: -And you! You are the works girl I have ever seen. Ok, I am off.
(He runs out into the street. Children there are playing snowballs, singing)
(Each teacher has a nice winter song)
The snow Queen appears.
Children:-Look! Who is it?
The Snow Queen:- Don't you know me? (addressing to Cay)
Cay: -No, but you are so beautiful
The Snow Queen:-Iam the SQ. I've come from Lapland. I own a great ice - Kingdom. My snow and ice is in all parts of the world. I can freeze you all, (if I wish to)
(to Cay)
Come here my boy. I will take you in my kingdom. I am very rich. And I'll make you rich too. Are you cold? I will warm you.
Cay: -Oh, The Snow Queen. You are the most beautiful woman in the world. Do you really want to take me? Yes, I want it too. I am a good boy. I am clever. And I want to go with you.
Spring came
Granny: - Our Poor Cay!
Herda: -yeas, the spring is over and we know nothing about Cay. Where is he now?I can't live without him. I can't stay here. I will go to look for him.

In the SQ's kingdom

My dear Cay. I will warm your heart and you will remember me (dhe kisses Cay)
Cay: - My dear Herda. I was waiting for you so long. Let's go home to our native land
