Цели:

Учебная: развивать лексические навыки говорения по теме''British newspapers''.

Развивающая: учить использовать вербальные опоры, практиковать выполнение упражнений с функциональными опорами.

Воспитательная: развивать страноведческую компетенцию,любознательность.

Задачи:

Совершенствовать навыки чтения и говорения.

Расширить словарный запас учащихся по данной теме.

Развивать умение извлекать информацию из предложенного материала.

Познакомить учащихся с некоторыми английскими газетами.

Использовать ситуацию,предложенную для решения определенной коммуникативной задачи.

Воспитывать у учащихся интерес к стране, изучаемого языка.

ХОД УРОКА

I.Meeting the class. Brainstorming.

T.: Good morning, boys and girls. I'm glad to see you. We are so pleased to see our guests today and we'll try to make our lesson useful and interesting.

Pupils, are you ready for the English lesson?

T.: At first I would like you to make up the English proverb from these words using the pictures and the Russian proverb.

So, what are we going to speak about?

Today we'll speak only about English newspapers and our aim is to get to know with something new for us.

2.The next task is to discuss the following problems. Work in pairs. I'll give you some cards.

a) Why do some people disapprove of tabloids?

Use : to contain sensational stories; to have a lot of pictures; to give information about the private lives of famous people; to have a more sensational reporting style; to report on the latest scandals and gossip in the private lives of well -known people.

b) Why are there free newspapers? Do you have them in Russia, your city /town/ village?

Use: to advertise; to have a lot of advertisement; to contain information about things to be sold or things that are needed; to be free/ fee-paid.

Use :current events; home news / affairs; foreign news / affairs; political

social ) problems; articles about private lives of well- known people /

theatre and cinema performances; the latest gossip on pop or film

stars; pop music; fashion; sports.

a)... - a paper that is sold every Sunday, and is usually bigger than papers sold on other days.

b)... - is a newspaper that gives news mainly about the town or area where it is printed.

d)...- is a newspaper that doesn't contain much serious news, but

has stories about famous people, sport, etc.

e)... - newspaper that are ready by a lot of people and generally

contain articles that are entertaining rather than serious for axample,

stories about sport people on television and sport.

f)... - is a set of large folded sheets of paper containing news articles,

pictures, which is printed and sold every day or every week.

4.Summarizing

T.: So, let's summarize everything we've learned today. Will you tell me what you've learned about press in Britain.


Making the conclusion. Hometask: ex.20, p.87. Write in brief about your favourite newspaper or any Russian newspaper.

At the end of our lesson I can say ''No one can read everything in the newspaper every day. But if you read a part of your newspaper every day, you will know a lot. Your marks are...

And we'll have a surprise for our guests.It' our composition of the
