Класс: 8

Цели:

1. Образовательная:

Совершенствование лексических навыков по теме «My home»;

Формирование лексических навыков по теме «Предлоги места»;

Активизация лексики в устной речи.

2. Развивающая:

Развитие интереса к изучению английского языка;

Развитие лингвистической догадки и логического мышления;

Развитие творческих способностей учащихся.

3. Воспитательная:

Воспитывать уважение к одноклассникам и умение работать в группах.

Ход занятия:

1. Организационный момент.

Good morning, boys and girls. I am very glad to see you. The topic of our lesson is "My home". We will speak about the place where we live, about our flats and houses. The English people say, "East or West, home is best". (Слайд1)

2. Ознакомление с новым лексическим материалом.

Let's look at the pictures. Here are different types of homes. There are:

a cottage;

a detached house;

a semi-detached house;

a flat;

a terraced house.

I have some descriptions of these houses. Let's read the descriptions and match the houses and the words.(Слайд2)

(учащимся раздаются карточки с определениями).

Cottage is a kind of small house, usually in the country.

Detached house is a house that is not joined to another one.

Semi-detached house is a house that is joined to another on one side.

Terraced house is a house that is joined to others on both sides.

Flat is a home that is a set of rooms on one level of a building.

3. Игра «Ассоциации».

So, we know all kinds of houses. And now let's play the game "Associations". I'll give you these sheets of paper with the word "Home". Write down around this word all the words which you associate with home. Work in groups. You have 7 minutes.

4. «Кроссворд».

Let's guess a puzzle. Look at the table and find the words on the topic "Home". But you have riddles. First read the riddle and then find the words.(Слайд3)

Riddles:

• I stay in your bedroom. You see me every evening when you are going to sleep. (Bed)

• It usually stands in the living room. But sometimes you may sleep on it. (Sofa)

• I have 4 legs but I cannot walk. (Chair)

• It is usually laid on the floor. (Carpet)

• Look at me and you'll see yourself.(Mirror)

• I like water. If you have a shower, please, come in. (Bathroom)

• I am in every house. If look at me you'll see the street. (Window)

• It is the main room in the house. (Living room)

• You can cook here. (Kitchen)

• You put your books here. (Shelf)

• It is not a room, but some houses and flats have it. (Balcony)

• You can sleep there. (Bedroom)

• You can't get into the house without it. (Door)

• You may see it on the window. (Curtain)

• It is the first room when you enter the flat. (Hall)

• I have 4 legs and 2 arms. (Armchair)

5. Активизация предлогов места.

To describe a flat or a room we should know not only the words, but also some prepositions denoting place. Look at the picture and try to guess the meaning of these prepositions.(Слайд4)

6. Активизация лексики в устной речи.

Now look at the pictures. There are rooms in the pictures. Let's describe them.(Слайд5)

7. Подведение итогов урока.

Thank you very much for such a wonderful lesson. Our lesson is over. You've worked very hard today. You home task is to draw a plan of your house or a flat with furniture. Good bye. (Слайд7)
