Read the text and check new words in your dictionary. Margaret Hilda Thatcher, Baroness Thatcher (born 13 October 1925) is a retired British politician. She was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990 and Leader of the Conservative Party from 1975 to 1990. She is the only woman to have held either post.
Margaret Thatcher was the 1st woman PM in Europe. She was born in a small English town in 1925. Her farther was a grocer. Margaret worked hard and went to Oxford University. She studies chemistry. In 1951 she married Denis Thatcher. He was a rich businessman. They had a girl and a boy. She loves politics. She was PM of GB in 1979. She was a very strong person.
The term 'Thatcherism' came to refer to her policies as well as aspects of her ethical outlook and personal style, including moral absolutism, nationalism, interest in the individual, and an uncompromising approach to achieving political goals. American author Claire Berlinski, who wrote the biography There Is No Alternative: Why Margaret Thatcher Matters, argues repeatedly throughout the volume that it was this Thatcherism, specifically her focus on economic reform, that set the United Kingdom on the path to recovery and long term growth.

Past Simple
Вспомогательный глагол Past Simple - Did.
-
I visited a doctor yesterday.
-
I opened the door.
-
I lived in Moscow last year.(live)
-
I didn't live in Moscow last year
-
Mike did not visit a doctor
-
Did you live in Russia last week?
-
Where did you stop?
Past Simple
-
I took the book from the library yesterday
-
Tim went to school when he was 6
-
I didn't take the book from the library yesterday
-
Tim did not go to school when he was 6
-
Did you take the book from the library yesterday?
-
What did you do yesterday?
