1. To develop habits of reading, writing, speaking

2. To acquaint pupils with culture, customs, traditions, holidays of Great Britain.

3. To teach pupils to make up dialogues, to work in pairs.

4. To strengthen pupils health with correction exercises.

1. Warm up.

Good morning, boys and girls. Sit down please. Today we will have an unusual lesson. Today we shall acquaint with Great Britain. So, every country & nation has their own culture, traditions and customs. It's very important to know traditions and customs of different people, especially if we want to know their language. We can't say: "we know English" if we do not know about Great Britain. English people proud of their traditions and keep them up carefully.

2. Hello, everybody. I shall introduce you with Great Britain. Look at the board.

The United Kingdom of the Great Britain and Northern Ireland consists of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The big rivers in Britain are the Thames and the Mersey. The UK is a constitutional monarchy. The head of the country is Queen Elizabeth II. (work with slides)

I want to introduce you with one of English traditions: English Drinking Tea. I want you feel yourself real Englishmen. And learn more information about this country. Englishmen are very fond of tea. They like to have a nice cup of tea from 6 to 8 times a day, sometimes even more. Millions of people in factories and offices look forward to their tea breaks in the morning and afternoon. They are called «elevenses» and «5 o'clock tea».

Here are some ABC of Table manners for the English Tea drinking. During drinking tea you must follow the next rules:

You must lay sugar in the tea carefully.
