The aim of the lesson:

Educational - to introduce with new words

Developing - to develop pupils oral speech

Bringing - up - to bring up interest to the subject



The procedure of the lesson:

I. Organization moment

Good afternoon, pupils!

- Who is on duty today?

- Who is absent?

- What date is it today?

- What day is it today?



II.Checking - up homework.

-What was your homework? - Who is ready? - Who wants to start?



III.New Theme

The theme of our lesson is ` Celebrating holidays`.

Ex:1 p:187. Read. Match the holidays with the information.

  1. January 1 - New Year holiday - a

  2. October 31 - Halloween - b

  3. December 25 - Christmas Day - d

  4. March 22- Nauryz holiday - c



Vocabulary and pronunciation

Practise the pronunciation of the new words

decorate - безендіру

chimney - түтін шығаратын түтік

neighbor - көрші

costume - костюм

guest - қонақ

knock - қағу

trick - фокус

Writing. Doing exercises.

Ex: 4 p:188 Read the text again and complete the sentences.



  1. Children dressed in costumes knock on the neighbours` door…

  2. If you don`t give them sweets or money they play a trick….

  3. They dress … costumes and cover their faces…..masks

  4. They think that Santa Claus … the chimney during the night.





Ex: 7 p: 189. Read the text and find the following words in the text, then practice the pronunciation.

`Bonfire night`

Ex: 8 p: 189. True (T) or False (F)

  1. Bonfire night is on the fifth of November.

  2. It is not a very interesting night for English children.

  3. Some days before Bonfire Night they make guy.

  4. They put the guy on the bonfire and then light it.
